What there is after death is a mystery to everyone until the moment one reaches it, and the answer is not a pleasant one.

At the moment of death the souls of the deceased fall into a void where darkness floods everything, there is nothing but the most horrible loneliness, in that environment the souls slowly lose their life experiences until they forget who they were in life until they finally disappear.

In the middle of the darkness lay a soul that has already spent a long time being corroded, it has already forgotten its time in life and even its own name, only knowledge remains, but soon not even that will remain, or that would happen if there were no interference.

A blue hand entered the darkness and quickly grabbed the half-corroded soul before exiting the dark space before anyone noticed that a soul had disappeared.

An unknown amount of time passed for the half-corroded soul as the blue hand took it to a distant place. During the journey the soul had regained consciousness after a long time, it had lost the memories of its life but still retained enough intelligence to know its situation. Unable to resist, it could only let itself be carried by the blue hand. 

Some more time passed until finally the blue hand released him, leaving him in a space similar to the previous darkness but blue in color. In the middle of that blue space was a humanoid figure covered from head to toe in metal armor. Over the armor was a blue tunic with a hood. In his hand was an open blue book with incomprehensible words.

Beside the figure was a large, completely black sword with a red gem on the guard, the sword or more specifically the gem on the guard gave the half-corroded soul a dangerous feeling, as if it would die again if it got close to it.

-You're finally here - The figure said as he looked at the half-corroded soul.

-Who are you?- The half-corroded soul asked as he tried to keep his distance from the black sword.

-You can call me the academic, and I was the one who took you out of the soul distiller in your world, but I didn't do it out of kindness, you have to do something for me now - The academic said looking at the half-corroded soul seriously.

- What do you want me to do? - asked the half-corroded soul

- You see, in my world there is a race of beings known as the plague, they are foreign beings that have parasitized my world for millennia, these beings have the peculiarity that they cannot be killed definitively, after they are killed they reappear in the world after a certain time, I have investigated for centuries a way to eliminate them permanently, and after a long time I found the key, fight a foreign being with another foreign being.

- This is the sword of extermination. It was one of the results of my research. It will allow you to channel your essence as a foreign being in order to eliminate the parasites of the plague permanently. I will send you to my world with it so that you can eliminate the plague once and for all. Do you accept this mission or do you prefer to return to the soul distiller? - The semi-corroded soul could recognize the threat in his words. The sword caused fear in his being but it did not compare to the idea of ​​returning to the soul distiller.

-I accept the mission - said the semi-corroded soul.

The scholar stretched his hand forward and the sword of extermination floated towards the semi-corroded soul, he instinctively moved his hand towards the sword of extermination and grabbed its hilt.

The moment he grabbed the hilt he felt eight overwhelming presences set their sights on him, with multiple red eyes they looked at him as if he were prey, the looks were intimidating but they only lasted a moment.

When he was relieving himself of being stared at by those eight presences suddenly a ninth one suddenly appeared, terror was the only thing he could feel at that gaze for a moment he was able to return the gaze seeing a giant being with two horns and three red eyes that unlike the other eight gazes saw him not as prey, they saw him as if he were nothing, the other eight did not compare in anything with this ninth presence.

As quickly as it had appeared, the presence was gone, leaving him alone with the scholar once again, holding the sword of extermination.

-What were those things?- the half-corroded soul asked in fear.

-Kura, my name is Kura- said the half-corroded soul as he disappeared in a halo of blue light along with the sword of extermination.

After he had finished disappearing, the academic was shocked to hear the name of the half-corroded soul and trembled as he dropped his book.

-Kura? It can't be true, did I make a mistake? I'm not sure I did the right thing- said the academic before disappearing along with the blue space leaving only emptiness behind.
