The sun had begun to set when Evangeline woke up, she sat up against the headboard and brought her knees to her chest. She ran her hand through her luscious black her and stared out the window and continued to watch the sun set. She got up and went to the bathroom to shower. She exited the bathroom wrapped in a towel and started rummaging through her bag.
I'm hungry, should I go to a restaurant or order takeout? she thought as she picked out her outfit.
She pulled out a pair of light blue jeans with a black and white striped long sleeved blouse and a denim jacket also putting on a pair of black and white wedge heels
"Restaurant it is." she said out loud then placed an order for a taxi.
She took up her key card, phone and purse before exiting her room. In the hallway of the motel stood 2 men and a woman arguing.
"Honey, it's not what it looks like, I can explain!" the woman pleaded with one of the men, grabbing on his sleeve.
He pulled his arm away from her violently,"Explain what exactly? So all your recent excuses of working overtime, work dinners and family emergencies were just lies so you could sneak around with another man!"
"I trusted you and thought just because we're married you would remain faithful, but I was just deluding myself, right?"
"I'm sorry okay! What do you want me to say?"
"You're sorry? You don't know what to say?" he laughed "You're not sorry yet, I want a divorce and I want you out of my house." after saying that he walked away leaving the cheating couple behind.
"What are you all looking at?" The woman yelled to the crowd of spectators before slamming the door to the room.
Cheating couples are everywhere
The commotion lasted longer than Evangeline thought because as soon as she got to the lobby, she received a notification that her driver had arrived. Quickly boarding the taxi, she gave him the location for the restaurant she wanted to dine at.
There was a line outside the establishment so she had to wait a while. She was in the line for about 5 minutes before she heard her name being called.
"Eva?"
When she noticed who it was, she couldn't help but roll her eyes and ignore the pair or at least try to.
"Where have you been?" her ex-fiance Derrick question
"We've been searching everywhere for you Eva." Amanda said "Are you upset about something?"
"You both have some nerve, if you realized I wasn't answering any of your calls, shouldn't that indicate I don't want to speak with either of you." Evangeline said
"Why would you just disappear like that? Why are you throwing a tantrum and making problems for others?" The conversation started garnering the attention of the patrons of the restaurant.
"So am I supposed to be in contact with my cheating ex-fiance and his mistress?" a smile spread across her face as shock took over the pairs expression
"My ex best friend and my ex-fiance, what a beautiful pair of shameless scumbags acting all high and mighty."
"Oh and Derrick I sold the ring."
"What?!"
"At least you were useful for one last thing." she continued smiling
By now, Evangeline revelation about his affair with Amanda and the sold engagement ring turned his face an ugly shade of red.
"Eva, don't be angry with Derrick, I'm at fault for falling in love with him." Amanda said in a pleasing tone trying to get some sympathy from the crowd.
This caused Evangeline to laugh out loud, "Oh Amanda, do you think you acting like this is going to change anything? Well it won't."
Before Amanda could speak Evangeline cut her off, " What does that have to do with me? You're acting as if I still want him." Evangeline burst out laughing.
"Let me say this, I got rid of trash and you went diving for it, so enjoy it while it lasts because sweetheart, that man will forever be a cheater and you are a fool to think that he will change."
"Keep him, you're doing me a favour." Evangeline smiled at the pair before walking away.

"She's feisty." a man casually dressed standing among the onlookers of the exchange, more like one-sided verbal slaughter
"Sir?"
"Never mind, let's go." he said as he walked away in the opposite direction of the tigress
