Specter's ballsy eyes narrowed after fixing them on the approaching Maiden Houdini, without blinking. She was born with a natural air of superiority that could make no one go against her carelessly. A logical part of him was truly against the idea of provoking the demon in her, however, the fact that he was a man, the aggressive arrogance in him found her condescending attitude intolerable after all she was just a woman.
"Bandits by nature, are nincompoops" he heard her nonchalant voice speaking and he mentally was preparing for what ought to follow as a result of provoking her.
Bruuuummmm...
Like a bolt from the blue, a Toyota Camry came into view prompting both Rasha and Specter to turn their heads and look. It was not something Specter had expected after all the air around was tensed from him provoking Rasha deliberately, and not in that unfrequented area they found themselves in, where there was nothing else but plain, dry land. At least not now or was it Rasha who had arranged for it?
"Woof!" Ragnar barked as if to remind her of Specter's impending punishment after seeing her walk away to the middle of the dirty road.
"I don't like to be reminded. Go now"
She silenced her canine. It quietly walked to somewhere to hide its presence.
Standing in the middle of the road, Rasha was still in the men's cloth with the midnight locks of her head dancing to the rhythm of the cool morning breeze whilst screening her face from view.
The environment was so deserted that one could not see a fly even by accident. Its dirty road had a manageable potholes, potholed by time and heavy goods vehicles.
Beeeppp...
The driver of the Toyota Camry horned for Rasha to move away from the road but she was as unresponsive as a statue hence the car abruptly halted inches away from where she stood.
"Why are you standing in my way miss?"
The bespectacled bloke driver in a jumpsuit demanded an explanation after getting out of his car. Even though he was irked, the vibe of his voice was too soft to call it manly. In a simple words, he was miles away from having that masculinity in men.
"Will it satisfy you to know that i am going to borrow your car?"
Rasha replied in a voice that was like the stuff of nightmares. Just that alone, smashed the boldness of the jumpsuited bloke who was reckless enough to confront this suspicious people. A woman whose face was strangely screened by her very dark locks and a man aside who was Specter, had a fierce looking eyes along with his odd tattoos that emphasized the brutish air around him.
"I don't understand what you are saying" the jumpsuited bloke started walking backwards as though he was afeared to turn around and give opportunity to something unforeseen. His audacity originally had no foundation.
"Retreating? you can't anyways but be scared as it is the only way to make me happy" Rasha burst out laughing as though extremely happy and the jumpsuited bloke took it as a hint to the only way he could escape, thus started nodding and saying
"I'm scared, i'm scared, let me go please. I have parents to take care of and i did not see anyone here i promise"
If Specter was able to withstand Rasha's intimidation then this particular bloke was looking as though even something as words could effortlessly kill him. He looked so out-of-his-mind afeared of Rasha, like she was a ghost.
"Does it scare you to know that there would be no one coming for your rescue soon? This droughty road needs some liquid to quench its thirst, should we offer it your blood? That crimson liquid that would gush out like a broken dam when your head is lying there and your body is there"
Rasha pointed two opposite sides with both of her hands.
