Fwoosh. Cars race pass as Nori continues on his walk towards the store. It doesn't take him long till he reaches a store with a bright neon blue sign. "Haru's 24/7 Market." It wasn't the busiest but it was convenient.
The people running the register are always nice here and I'm glad it's not a busy establishment or at least it's not busy when I come down. Oh yeah, I didn't even realize that it was 9pm already. I should pay attention to these things more but I guess Grandpa being up is why I didn't know it was so late already.
The bell goes off as Nori enters the store. "Hey Nori. Getting more snacks?" A girl from behind the counter asks with a smile on her face.
He gives a brief glance towards her direction. "Of course Alison. You know how it is." Nori responds awkwardly before turning away.
A girl from the states here who can speak Japanese so well is shocking but she is pretty cute. I'm just a loser who sits at home all the time so I doubt she'd be into me.
Ramen? Do I want ramen today or maybe I'll just go for a variety of chips. I should eat a lot better than I do but that's just not how I've been over the years.
People always get mad at me for it too, all because I haven't gained much weight from my shitty eating habits. His thoughts are immediately interrupted by a girl trying to get his attention.
"Excuse me are you Oshima Nori?" The girl asks with a curious expression on her face.
He turns up from the chips he was looking at to face the girl. Her long purple hair, dark purple eyes, and even the outfit she had on was distracting.

His cheeks turn a dark red as he struggles to speak. "U-Um yeah that's me. Do I know you?" Nori questions with a bit of an embarrassed tone in his voice.

A slight smile appears on her face as she prepares to answer. "I'm Yamada Rika. I know it's a bit sudden but I need to talk with you." She responds with a bit of joy in her voice.
A girl that's happy to talk with me and actually wants to talk even further? Yeah this is definitely something unusual. There's got to be something behind this, maybe it's some sort of prank by someone.
The last year or two that I've gone here this has never happened so why would it happen now of all times?
"I don't really know you all that well and it's a bit late so maybe tomorrow." Nori says while grabbing his chips.
I'll just quickly take what I need, go pay and get out the damn store.
Thump. Thump. He could feel his heart racing as he began to walk away from the girl. Upon reaching the counter he placed everything on it. "Find everything okay?" Alison asks with a smile on her face.
"Y-Yeah I found everything I need." Nori answers while pulling out his wallet.
After paying for his chips he left the store in a hurry and went back home, completely ignoring the girls previous attempts to try and talk to him.
Slam. Click. Doors locked and I don't need to worry any further about talking with anyone else tonight. Maybe she was a sister of one of my old classmates or something and needed to talk to me for them.
Yes! That's definitely what it is, let's just unwind with some games. Law of Duty, a great game to play to take my mind off of things.
Sitting back on the couch he placed his feet on the table after grabbing his controller. The console was powered on and he loaded up the game, not realizing he didn't take off his coat or anything.
A couple of hours go by. The snacks were all gone and he was still up gaming like usual.
"Kill streak active!" The announcer calls out.
"Enemy Air strike inbound, get some cover!" The announcer wounds.
This guy is really doing just as good as me this match, it's making it real hard to carry this crappy team to a win. "Come on! He's right there guys!" Nori shouts at the tv before throwing his controller down on the couch.
At least I don't camp like this asshole does.
Something could be heard behind him. "So this is your place? It's kind of messy." A familiar voice speaks from behind him.
What th--- Standing up he turns around to see the same girl from earlier, except this time she had strange ears and some sort of wings on her back.
"W-What the hell!?!? How'd you get in my apartment and what's with the get up? You some sort of cosplayer?!?" Nori shouts with a bit of confusion in his voice.
The girl just smiled at him and let out a small laugh before responding. "No I'm not a cosplayer. The world's going to end if I don't get help, your help." Rika answers while crossing her arms.
Crossing her arms like that only pushed her boobs up a bit... Ahhh! Nori stop thinking like that, she's talking about something insane right now!
He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. "I'm hallucinating. A pretty girl in my apartment and she's telling me the world's going to end. Hahaha." Nori says before letting out a nervous laugh.
