She waited a few moments for him to stop laughing before beginning to speak again. "It's the truth. I know it's probably crazy to hear but there's a lot going on." Rika says with an assuring tone.
We've got soldiers, cops, some sort of strange organization that helps handle weird phenomenons so why would I be needed to help with this, if it's even real?
W-Wait...She's getting closer to me... Hold on.
Crash! Thud. He falls back onto the floor as she continues to get closer to him. "I know it's a lot to take in Nori but this is a big deal and you've got the blood of a prophet in you." Rika speaks with a soft tone.
"Sorry I really don't understand what's going on right now." Nori says while placing his hands on his head.
This is all too much for me to think about right now, it's actually kind of overwhelming me. I'm not as social as I used to be and I'm especially not good with women so this is taking a toll on me.
She crouched down in front of him. "Listen I'll answer as many questions as you want but you need to come with me." Rika says with a calm tone behind her voice.
The logical thing to do here is run away and call the cops right? This girl randomly broke into my apartment speaking about the end of the world. She's got to be some sort of criminal or something!
She grabbed his hand and within seconds he could feel something soft. "Huh?" Nori questions with a bit of a confused expression on his face.
She had placed her hand on her chest where he could feel her soft boobs. "You feel better? I didn't really know how else to calm you down, humans are strange." Rika says while staring at him.
My hand is on her chest, this is definitely not something I expected and everything is definitely overwhelming me... How could I ever explain this to the police?!?!
Officer I swear she placed my hand there it wasn't my fault! No they wouldn't believe that. "Sir we're taking you in for harassment of this poor girl." That's more like what they'd say.
Shake. Shake. He shakes his head and then moves his hand away. "Fine fine. I'll go with you, just a little taken back by this." Nori replies while trying to calm down.
"Perfect! Off we go." Rika speaks with happiness in her voice.
She doesn't even give him a chance to grab anything as she grabs his hand again to drag him along. A strange portal appears before them and she just pulls him right through it with no hesitation.
"Holy shit!!!!" Nori shouts as he goes through.
Everything begins to change around him as he realizes they are in some sort of strange room with a couch and some tables scattered about. Nori was just standing there with no words to express anything he was feeling right now.
(Somewhere within Kyoto.)
Was that even real? I didn't really just go through a portal like some sort of fantasy game did I? Maybe I fell asleep while playing Law of Duty and that's why I'm here right now.
I do stay up late, when was the last time I slept? Interrupted once again. "Oshima Nori, what a pleasure for you to join us here." A deeper voice says.
Another person, yet I thought I was about to be with this girl by myself, but I'm glad I'm not! I'm not some weirdo or a pervert, wait I'm thinking all this to myself.
"Yes that's me. But wait, who are you?" Nori questions while turning around to see the mysterious man.
A man wearing what appears to be some old fashioned knight armor, except it's got a dark black look to it with some interesting engravings of dragons on it.
"You may call me Aki. I'm in charge of things here, we need all the help we can get to save the world. Prophets are almost extinct so you are the last one we can rely on." He answers with a serious tone.
Yeah this definitely can't be true, yet I'm really here or else I would've woken up. I tried pinching my arm quite a few times and nothing happened to me.
Nori also looked down to see that Rika was still by his side and holding his hand. "You can...let go." Nori says with an embarrassed tone in his voice.
The man known as Aki gets closer until he's right before Nori. "She's not going to just disappear. Each prophet has had someone in their lives to make them stronger or to help them train to get better. The last prophet had a succubus, you have a dragon." Aki explains quickly.
"My own Dragon Girl? Isn't that kind of weird to say that." Nori says outloud without thinking.
Rika blushes a bit before speaking herself. "It's what I am though. We have a lot of work to do. They are going to start opening gates all over the world soon, we have to stop them at all costs." Rika chimes in while gripping his hand.
I've never fought anyone or anything before so would I even be able to do all this if I needed to? None of this even feels real to me, almost like something out of a fantasy novel or some isekai manga I read.
Aki turns to face Rika for a moment. "You'll probably have to awaken his power, each prophet that's been found in the past has always been dormant. I don't know his strength but the organization is failing and we are the only hope that remains." Aki speaks with a bit of concern in his voice.
Fighting for the greater good is always nice to hear but not when it's you that has to be the one to do it. He also knows of the organization I was thinking about before, so this is definitely a serious thing.
