As the two padawans separated from the grand master, they walked into the hearing room full of council members.
(Kanitsae's POV): I was surprised that all the members were present, some in the form of a hologram. While I observed all the members, I felt a heavy atmosphere surrounding us. My brother gave me a reassuring look as we took our place at the center of the room.
(Kew'ilaä's POV): My sister looked calm on the outside, but I felt her unease through our force bond. Ever since the incident, we bonded in a special way and now we can feel each other's inner feelings. We even shared our memories, she mentioned that she even saw another person leading a totally different life. We now had a special way to communicate through the force, it was something similar to telepathy.
Another thing that I discovered was, I am now able to shield myself and my sister from others peeking at us using the force. This was helpful with protecting ourselves from inquiries from the grand master and the council members before and during the hearing.
The hearing felt off as the focus of the meeting was less about the incident and it seemed like they did not even want to get to the bottom of it. They shifted the focus on the responsibility of the grand master for letting it happen and how everything changed in a bad way ever since she has been leading the Jedi Order.
My sister and I were looking around and it seemed that we were just a means to an end, but the main question is: "Who would benefit from this?" As that will answer the question: "Who is the main suspect of targeting me?" I kept my thoughts to myself and shielded me and my sister.
These bastards are pushing their own agendas. I do not have the influence right now to get right of them; however, they say ""Patience is the best remedy for every trouble.". I will abide my time and make sure that I build my own forces to support and protect those I love and prevent another incident like with my brother Jaraen.
We just stood there and listened to them rant about the responsibilities of the grand master. *Yapping back and forth about anything but the incident that killed my brother*
(Council's POV): Our final verdict is that the young ones should not be held responsible for the mistakes and negligence of the older members of our order. For not adhering to her responsibilities and living up to the trust we put in her, we are sad to relieve grand master Sequoia Sunrider of her duties as a grand master. Due to the severity of the incident, she will be demoted to just master Sequoia Sunrider and she will have to earn her right to have a seat on the council. Although this punishment seems harsh, we believe that there has been a severe breach in trust in the other and this needs to be restored. Therefore, we deemed the punishment necessary and just.
For now, Master Kiyoga will be the interim grand master until we officially elect a new grand master. As for the two padawans, they will be assigned to assist two different outposts that will be determined at a later stage.
Due to the sheer brutality of the actions taken by padawan Kew'ilaä, we deemed it necessary to prohibit him from using the force abilities that were used at the time of the incident. As we are not sure about the nature of the abilities and the danger that these abilities present. We have decided that he will be placed under supervision until further notice.
Master Shan and master Elyra will be responsible for watching young Kew'ilaä. As an extra precaution, we require the young padawan to wear a specific armour that will suppress his force to make sure that there will not be another incident.
(Kew'ilaä's POV): I could not believe what I was hearing. How was it my master's fault? Most of all, why were they so adamant on reducing my powers, when I was just assaulted by unknown assailants. It just does not make any sense.
From that moment onwards I knew that master Kiyoga was not the good samaritan he always pretended to be. He pushed his own agenda to become the top dog at the order. He will get what is coming to him, I will make sure of it.
For now I will play along as I do not have any other option. I could always leave the other, but I will be branded a traitor and life is rough if you have to be on the run.
They even went as far as sentencing my sister and me to be on assignments until we reach the level of master and during that whole period we are not allowed to see each other. I will find a way to reunite with my sister and I will make sure that these bastards will pay for what they have done to my master.
I will just focus on gathering my own forces and evading the suspicions and watchful eyes of master Shan and master Elyra. I knew master Shan was not to be trusted, but I will need to meet master Elyra to determine her intentions.
*Five years after the hearing*
(Kew'ilaä's POV): A lot has happened during these last five years. My master Sequoia Sunrider disappeared a year after the hearing and has not been seen ever since. I know she is still alive as I still feel her presence through the force, but I cannot locate her.
Both my sister and I were promoted from being padawans to our respective fields. I became a Jedi knight and my sister became a Jedi consular. She is currently on protection duty at on of the Jedi Temples, that is all I know. I rarely get any updates as they even prohibit contact between us two.
As for me, I was able to hone my force powers in secret. It was difficult at first, due to the restrictive powers of the suit that I was wearing. It was syphoning my force powers, but I managed to adapt to it and even learned how to syphon the force from other beings, objects and from the atmosphere surrounding us.
These five years have been rough as I was sent on many diplomatic missions and needed to clean up countless bandits, gangs, and at times resistances on various planets to make sure that the governing party kept its power.
By using loopholes and my power of illusions, I managed to save many of the guerilla fighters and righteous bandits. I am now able to put even Jedi masters under an illusion that affects all five senses. The two masters that were always following me, only saw what I wanted them to see.
For instance, there was this one time where we needed to hunt down a group of criminals that were known for trafficking illegal substances. We needed to go all the way to the outer rim to a planet called Urkupp. It was an unexplored planet. As we landed, we were attacked by a group of criminals. We quickly subdued them and even managed to capture the leader.
As we explored the camp, I noticed that they had taken prisoners of their own before we arrived. I released both prisoners, apparently they were both natives of the planet. One of them had a black skin colour and the other had a dark grey skin colour. The two masters tried to use the force on them, but to their surprise they were resistant to the force.
I quickly used my abilities to put both of them under an illusion and made sure that they could not remember going to this planet and replaced their memories with us going to a different planet.
I used my natural born ability to transform to learn their language and abilities. Both of the freed prisoners were surprised and shocked. I told them that I mean no harm and wondered if they had a place to go.
They told me that they wanted to repay me for the favour of releasing them from their captivity. This is when I proposed to let them work for me. From then on I was able to create my own organisation.
