Silas's POV
As soon as the door started to open, I stepped back a little, moving away from it.
When it fully opened, my gaze immediately went to the slippers since I was looking down. Slowly, I lifted my gaze from the slippers.
Casual night pants came into view, and I quickly looked up.
White hair like the moon, dusky skin, hazel eyes. A well-built body with visible muscles, which were clearly noticeable even under the t-shirt.
A broad chest and... Ahem... those abs. And on top of that, heavy rain was pouring down in the jungle as he wore a t-shirt with a print.
I didn't feel his pheromones, so he might either be an alpha or a beta, but judging by his physique, he looked like an alpha.
"Why are you staring like that? I don't like the way you're looking at me."
Haah... that was my line, wasn't it? Because they had locked me in this room, their intentions didn't seem right.
"Excuse me, don't try to act too nice, and who are you?"
I immediately moved toward the guy and said. My height was slightly below his chest, but what difference did height make?
If I wanted to, I could take him down right here, right now.
Upon hearing my words, he raised an eyebrow in amusement. Taking a single step toward me, he was suddenly standing right in front of me.
That meant, for every three or four steps I took, one of his was enough to close the distance.
"You're cute. By the way, what's your name?"
He leaned down, his height much greater than mine. He slipped both hands into his pants pockets and bent down to look into my eyes, sniffing the air.
That's when I realized he was an alpha, because he was trying to sniff my pheromones. Such lowly behavior could only come from an alpha.
So, I placed both my hands on his shoulders and pushed him straight back.
He didn't get pushed too far away from me, but just enough distance was enough.
"Behave yourself. Just because you're an alpha doesn't mean you can do whatever you want."
I gave him such a side-eye that he started thinking about what big mistake he might have made.
"Your mouth runs a lot, but that doesn't mean I don't like it."
There was a certain arrogance in his voice. Then he pulled his hand out of his pocket, holding a cigar, and placed it between his lips.
He began to offer me a lighter, as if telling me to light it for him. But why? It wasn't like the Moon Goddess hadn't given him hands—so why should someone else light his cigar for him?
I really don't like the way alphas think that omegas are their servants, that they can make them do whatever they want.
When I didn't take the lighter from him and kept staring at him, a smile spread across his face. Even while lighting the cigar, his eyes remained fixed on me, as if he were enjoying my reaction.
I knew I shouldn't waste my time on him, so without saying anything, I started heading out of the room. Suddenly, he grabbed my hand and pulled me back towards him.
Then, he pinned me directly against the wall with one hand. I was in shock, wondering what he was doing.
He then placed the cigar between his middle and index fingers, pulled it from his lips, and blew the smoke right into my face.
Cough, cough.
"What are you doing? How dare you touch me?" My temper flared, and my voice made it clear.
I was so angry that I could've killed him, but as I moved to push him away, he immediately placed the cigar back between his lips.
With one hand, he grabbed both of my wrists and Pinned them above my head.
I knew I had the strength to free my hands from his grip, but then, with his other hand, he placed his index finger on my chin, forcing me to look up at him.
"You look so cute and innocent, but you're even more dangerous than a wild cat."
He removed his hand from my chin, then took the cigar away from his lips again, blowing the smoke directly into my face.
My eyes were glaring at him as I jerked his hands off my wrists. But then he started sniffing the air, bringing his nose close to my neck, inhaling deeply.
When he suddenly got so close to my neck, I started to feel uneasy. I was afraid he might bite me.
"Stay away! Stop sniffing me like a dog!" I turned my head to the side because he was still sniffing my neck.
I pushed at his shoulders with both hands, trying to get him to move away, but he wouldn't budge. And for some reason, I suddenly felt weak.
I could faintly smell a scent, and the more I inhaled it, the more my body started reacting strangely. My legs began to feel weak.
I was about to fall when he wrapped his arm around my waist, preventing me from hitting the ground and pulling me closer. My hands ended up resting on his chest.
I lifted my head, and my eyes locked with his, which were staring directly at me.
"Have you already fallen for me?" he teased, and for some reason, my cheeks turned red at his words. Even though he was smiling at me, I could hear his heart pounding in his chest.
Just then, I heard a voice.
"What's going on here?"
As I turned my head, I saw Orian standing in front of me whie looking down .
Orian was wearing the same type of T-shirt as the guy in front of me, but on Orian, the T-shir
t looked oversized.
As soon as the guy's gaze shifted to Orian, he pushed me away and walked over to Orian, placing his hand on his shoulder.
