Chapter 4 - Dream Encounter

As Kael drifted deeper into sleep, the world around him faded into darkness, transforming into a vast, ethereal landscape. Shadows danced and flickered like stars in a night sky that stretched infinitely.

From the depths of this darkness, a black figure began to take shape. It resembled a woman, her long hair flowing like smoke, cascading down her shoulders in a mesmerizing manner. Her presence was both alluring and unsettling, an embodiment of the shadows that surrounded them.

Despite the ominous aura, Kael felt an inexplicable connection to this figure. She seemed to pulse with a strange energy, drawing him closer as she moved gracefully through the void.

As the figure approached, Kael noticed her lips moving, yet no sound reached his ears. Instead, he felt her thoughts seep into his mind, a silent communication that transcended words.

"Kael… I have been waiting for you," she conveyed, her voice echoing in his consciousness, rich with a melodic yet haunting tone.

"The blood that dripped into the cube relic has bound you to its essence. Now, we are intertwined."

Kael's heart raced as he processed her words. Was this the creature from the ruins? Had it somehow manifested in his dreams?

"What do you mean, bound?" he thought, feeling a rush of curiosity mingled with fear.

The figure extended her hand, and vivid images flashed before him:

He saw the ancient civilization at the height of its glory—white buildings adorned with gold lines that shimmered like circuits, bustling with people. Laughter and chatter filled the air as they thrived in an advanced society, their technology seamlessly integrated into their daily lives.

Suddenly, the scene shifted dramatically. Flames engulfed the once-majestic structures, turning them to ash. The sky churned with dark clouds, and chaos erupted. The people fled in terror as a terrifying monster emerged from a portal—a being of undiscribable features, with thousands of eyes glistening with malice.

This was no ordinary creature; it was a rift monster, a being that lived between space and time. Its kind was extremely rare, with only a handful of cases where it had shown itself throughout history. Even the weakest among them was a formidable foe, requiring the combined strength of five Sovereign-level monster gene users just to banish it. The sheer power and ferocity of these beings made them nightmares that haunted the tales of old.

Overwhelmed by the revelations, Kael gathered his courage. "What is your name? What kind of monster are you?" he asked, his voice a mix of awe and trepidation.

The figure's eyes gleamed with an ancient wisdom as she replied, "I am Nihilith, a primordial monster of void and chaos. My essence is intertwined with the very fabric of existence, embodying the elemental forces of despair, emptiness, and the unpredictable nature of creation and destruction."

"Kael," Nihilith continued, her presence intensifying, "we must achieve complete synchronization. Embrace the power I can bestow upon you. Together, we can harness the chaos and void to reshape your destiny and confront the threats that loom ahead."

Kael felt the weight of her words, a mixture of fear and exhilaration coursing through him. The allure of power, combined with the responsibility it carried, tugged at his heart. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded resolutely. "I accept. I will embrace this synchronization and the power you offer."

As the visions faded, Nihilith began to dissolve into mist, her last words lingering in the air. "Trust yourself, Kael. The path will reveal itself in time."

As she vanished, her departure sent ripples across the entire universe, a subtle disturbance that echoed through the fabric of existence.

Billions of light-years away, near the very edge of the universe, a man cloaked in shadows sensed the disturbance. He radiated profound energy, an ancient power that hinted at untold power.

A smile crept across his face, revealing two rows of yellow teeth. His eyes gleamed with interest and excitement, as if he had been waiting for this moment.

With a swift motion, he took the sword hanging at his side and sliced through the very fabric of reality. The tear shimmered ominously, allowing him passage. As he stepped through, the fabric of reality healed itself seamlessly behind him, leaving no trace of his intrusion.
