Thanks for Power Stones. EXTRA today. Horizon Before Dawn ARC coming to an end soon.
Albedo leaned against the edge of a worn table, watching me as I meticulously worked over the parts strewn before me. The faint blue hum of energy crackled in the air, a signature of the ancient armor that had once been wielded by the great warriors of the past. It had taken us weeks, months, maybe even longer to piece together the fragments of history that would allow us to craft something that might serve in the present, the good part was I only needed two power cells to take the ancient armor from our old base with me and I could use the power cells to make more armors, so I send Albedo and Rhea to secure all the power cells we could in the Nora lands and the Grave Horder, it took some time but it was so worth it, finally I could open the ancient armory and take my spoils.
"You sure about this?" Albedo asked.
I didn't look up. My hands worked deftly, moving with precision and care.
"I've got this." I finally said, my voice confident. "The blue hum… it's not just for show. It's part of the old tech, part of the armor's energy core. "
It had taken months of digging and scavenging to get all the parts but finally, I got it done, Aloy super badass armor.
But there was something more to it. Something is hidden in the very core of the armor. It wasn't just the sleek design or the adaptive fit. No, the true power lay in the energy that pulsed through it a deep, resonating hum that seemed to vibrate with life itself. It was as if the armor was alive.
"I think it's time," Albedo said stepping forward.
I nodded, my expression unreadable. I lifted the armor piece I had been working on, a sleek chest plate that shimmered faintly in the low light of the workshop. The blue hum grew louder as I held it, a soft but undeniable pulse of energy. It was a thing of beauty, crafted from the finest machine parts. The armor was light, almost impossibly so but it was strong, stronger than anything we had created before.
Albedo stepped closer, reaching out to touch the chest plate. As her fingers made contact, a jolt of energy ran through her, a strange sensation that made her heart race and flinch.
"It's perfect," Albedo said her voice tinged with awe. "But what about the shield? You said the armor could give us a shield too."
I smirked, the first sign of emotion she'd seen from me in hours. "You didn't think we'd leave that out, did you? The shield is integrated into the armor's energy core. It's not like any shield you've ever seen before. It's a force field, lightweight, but powerful enough to deflect any blow."
I reached over to a nearby workbench, picking up a small intricate device. It was a disc-shaped object, almost unassuming in its appearance, but the faint blue glow emanating from its core told a different story.
"This." I said, "Is the key. The shield generator. It will integrate directly into the armor. When activated, it will form a protective barrier around the wearer, light enough to allow full mobility but strong enough to absorb impacts. It'll hum with energy, just like the armor. Together, they'll make the wearer nearly unstoppable, until they lose power i mean... But we can always recharge them later, we will need to find more power sources soon."
Albedo watched as I carefully attached the device to the chest plate. The moment the two pieces connected, the blue hum intensified, filling the room with a low, vibrating blue resonance. It was as if the armor and the shield were coming to life, merging into a single, unified whole.
"It's beautiful," Albedo whispered, her fingers brushing the smooth surface of the chest plate.
I didn't respond immediately. I simply stood there, watching her, my eyes gleaming with the quiet satisfaction of a job well done.
"What's next?" she asked, her voice steady but laced with curiosity.
My gaze turned toward the pile of parts scattered across the workshop. There was still much to be done, more armor to forge, more shields to perfect, and more machines to dismantle and reassemble. But for now, we had a foundation. A beginning.
"We finish what we started," I said, my voice unwavering. "We create an army, power armor, and powerful guns to arm them."
Albedo's heart raced. The idea of an army, an army equipped with this ancient armor, with the power of the machines infused into their very bones was a daunting thought.
But in a world like this where survival was never guaranteed, we needed every advantage we could get. And this armor, this technology was our ticket to the future.
And the world would never be the same again.
