Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Kushina arrives

[Draw Complete! You've obtained the following items:]

Potion ×2Burn Heal ×5Poké Ball ×3Premier Ball ×1Nugget ×1Chimchar Egg ×1TM – Spark ×1Exp. Candy XS ×3Leftovers ×1MooMoo Milk ×2

After completing the draw, Uchiha Hayato found his bag suddenly filled with a variety of items.

He quietly took inventory of his haul. Potions and Burn Heals were common medical supplies, useful for both battle and training.

The Nugget, though valuable for trading, posed a problem. How could he explain its origin? His parents had died on missions, and both the village and the Uchiha clan were well aware of his economic situation. Unless he came clean about having the ability to summon items from another world, questions would arise.

[Spark: Surrounds the user in electricity and tackles the opponent. May cause paralysis.]

Hayato raised an eyebrow. In the Pokémon world, Spark was a physical Electric-type move with 65 base power. From its description here, it seemed similar to the Lightning Release Chakra Mode. If it could be sustained, might it function the same way? The thought filled him with excitement.

[Exp. Candy XS: Slightly and permanently increases chakra reserves.]

Looking at the pale green candy wrapped in shimmering paper, Hayato popped it into his mouth. It had a mild sweetness, and he felt a subtle increase in his chakra reserves. Though the effect was small, he was elated. Small gains add up—someday, he would reach the level of the greats.

He set a modest goal for himself: increase his chakra reserves to at least one "card" (a ninja measurement).

[Leftovers: Gradually heals injuries when held.]

In the original game, it resembled a chewed-up apple core. Now, it had transformed into a white pendant.

Hayato chuckled and hung it around his neck. "Does this mean I have a budget version of Sage Mode?"

But the real highlight was the Chimchar Egg.

For ninjas, summoning beasts were an integral part of their arsenal. Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru, who hadn't yet earned their Sannin title, would one day gain fame alongside their summoning beasts during the Rain Country War. The Third Hokage's Enma was a vital companion.

Staring at the Chimchar Egg, Hayato murmured, "So, does this mean I've got my own summoning beast now?"

A sense of joy welled up inside him as a warm egg suddenly appeared in his hands.

While he was marveling at it, the egg began to crack. The sound of life stirring inside grew louder. As the shell shattered, a brilliant light burst forth, illuminating the entire room.

Hayato squinted, shielding his eyes. When the light faded, a lively Chimchar sat in his hands.

"Chim! (ヾノ≧∀≦)o—"

The Chimchar tilted its head, its bright, round eyes full of curiosity. After confirming that Hayato was its partner, it joyfully leaped from his arms and began exploring the room.

"Hey, wait! Where are you going?" Hayato called out.

The Chimchar, clearly mischievous, darted around the room. Hayato scrambled to keep up and eventually pulled out the Premier Ball to stop it.

"Would you like to be my partner?" he asked, nervous but hopeful.

Despite being a system creation, the Chimchar was alive, with its own thoughts and feelings.

The little Pokémon turned and placed its tiny, furry hand on Hayato's palm. Its tail flame danced brightly before it turned into a flash of white light and entered the Premier Ball.

Hayato clenched his fist in triumph. "Pokémon... I've got one!"

At the same time, he noticed a change in his system interface.

[Name: Uchiha Hayato]

[Egg Group: Human-like, Field]

[Ability: ??? (Blaze can be equipped)]

[Type: Fire, Lightning, Water, Dark]

[Skills: Clone Jutsu, Concealment Jutsu, Escape Jutsu]

[Pokémon: Chimchar]

[Bag: Potion ×3, Burn Heal ×5, Poké Ball ×3, Nugget ×1, TM – Spark ×1, MooMoo Milk ×2]

[World Influence: 0.12%]

Hayato was stunned—abilities could be shared? Had he turned into a humanoid Pokémon?

Without hesitation, he equipped the Blaze ability. Though he felt no immediate change, Hayato shrugged it off. If possible, he hoped the ability would never activate, as it only triggered when in danger.

He pressed the button on the Premier Ball, releasing Chimchar, and set new goals for himself.

In the short term, he would learn Spark, master summoning techniques, and form a contract with Chimchar.

For the long term, Hayato envisioned surviving the Shinobi World Wars and, if possible, becoming the Fourth Hokage. Perhaps he could even change Konoha and make Pokémon great again!

Nodding to himself, Hayato wondered if peace could be achieved in the absence of Uchiha Obito, Naruto, and Sasuke.

"Chim… (。º̩̩́⌓º̩̩̀).゜"

Chimchar hopped twice and looked at him with tearful eyes, as if on the verge of crying.

"What's wrong, little guy?" Hayato asked with a soft smile.

"Gruu…" Chimchar's stomach growled, revealing its hunger. Its pitiful expression made Hayato laugh gently.

"Well, I guess before becoming a ninja, I'll have to become a nanny first."

When school started, Hayato brought Chimchar to the Ninja Academy.

That day, Hayato made an effort with his appearance. He wore a tailored black shirt with a sky-blue jacket embroidered with a delicate Uchiha fan on the chest. The outfit was simple yet elegant. His neatly combed short hair framed a face that was both youthful and stoic, while the faint smile on his lips softened his otherwise aloof demeanor.

Satisfied with his look, Hayato thought about how first impressions matter. Visual appeal often influenced how people were perceived. Beyond wartime achievements, Minato Namikaze's charisma and charm were significant factors in his success over Orochimaru.

Now a second-year at the Academy, Hayato found the curriculum lacking. Most of the lessons covered geography, history, and ninja theory, with only minimal focus on taijutsu and ninjutsu.

Still, his system had mentioned "world influence," so he decided to act like a small butterfly flapping its wings, creating ripples that could one day lead to a storm of change.

"What kind of summon is that?"

"Never seen it before! Is it related to the Hokage's Enma?"

"But that kid's from the Uchiha clan…"

The students were captivated by Chimchar, who was clearly no ordinary summon.

"Good morning, Hayato," Minato greeted with a smile, his eyes lingering curiously on the Chimchar perched on Hayato's shoulder.

"We've known each other for so long, but I've never heard of you having a summoning beast," Minato thought, unable to hide his envy.

"Good morning, Minato. This is my partner, Chimchar. Just call him Flame." Hayato returned the smile as they took their seats.

Minato had countless questions, but the school bell cut him off.

A red-haired girl entered the classroom with the teacher.

"This is our new transfer student…"

"I'm Kushina Uzumaki!"
