Chapter 2 - Surface dwellers

I discovered that I was currently at aa rentlaa room, and also met the landlord and had a 'wholesome' conversation about rent but I'll leave that story for another time.

Outside, the city was bussiling and gleaming with all sorts of people, most if not all wore expensive clothing.

It seemed more like a place of nobility, perhaps I'm rich too in this body?

"hmm maybe?"

Moreover, today I have some plans in how to spend my first transmigration day, probably a good plan of course it's good.

The city had an air of nobility due to the shops luxorious decorations everything was so overly decorated and nice looking.

I also like the puppies they have, it seems they're taking them on a walk but they look so fluffy and cute.

"....."

After a while of vigorously walking, I stood in front of a certain building.

Dispute just being transmigrated to this body, I feel like I've known this body for so long as I have every single memory, its odd to have the memory of another person thought.

And even odder to be that person but at the same time not.

The building had a sign on the front with two silver swords clashing, and a nicely decorated door.

I swinged the door open slowly, with my right leg inside the building I fully stepped foot inside

The building seemed to be a restaurant since people where eating and drinking peacefully.

But it wasn't a restaurant ,from the sword logo I belive this is an adventurers guild.

You know the one I don't need to explain the clichés! Right?

There was reception on the front, and everywhere else was nice looking tables where people sat some looked odd like cats (beastfolk) and some looked normal.

Standing in front of the reception desk if felt a bit nervous, I sweated bullets but eventually gathered my courage and stood up and raised my head a bit form the ground.

The woman in the reception desk gave a giant smile and tilted her head her mouth a few digrees upwards in a ^ like shape.

"hello, how can I help you!"

These where probably the normal welcome words here, so I took it lightly.

"yes, this is a guild right?"

With a slight smile she took a deep breath, I got ready for the worst but she just talked normally.

"yes, it's the surface dwellers!"

She slid a paper I front of me and a dip pen was right on time on the side, i took the pen and signed the paper with a simple x.

And then the woman slid another 2 paper to me and went on serving other 'surface dwellers'

I sat down at the closest table, it was so clean without a single specticle of dust in sight

Impresive!, now onto the papers the first paper explained the inns and outs of the palce.

So in summary, a surface dweleer seems to be a sort of job including gourd duties, creature extermination and exploration.

Mostly they're asosiated with king of the kingdom so king bashrikan here, the king of the (bashrikan kingdom).

The job seems good enough, and with the capital of asteriel providing the best pay.

Moreover, around here people where eating and drinking with upmost happiness, most had armor, swords. Some had staffs and pointy wizard hats.

What kind of think is indescribable is the maintenance here, the table didn't even have a scratch.

Now aside form the table, my gaze landed on the bard nearby.

It had a curvy carved wooden design with a large area to hang papers and quests there.

Ahh yes the classic rpg stuff.

There was still some area to place a pearl there almost a bit for 4 or 5.

Thus the second paper I got, it included stuff like name, age, class and other background info.

It seemed to be used to make a some sort of team.

Well in any case, I hung the paper on the board and took my chances, andthen is sat.

Sat down, looked around, sat down, looked around.

Uggh, Im getting bored Most people where enjoying their timesice (they are surface dweller who fight against constant absurdity) so a peacefully dinner is apt to make them relax.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

I subconsciously kept taping on the table with my index finger, my head place on my hand I waited for someone, or something interesting to happen.

Reminds me of wh I'd sit on the bookstore desk, waiting for customers for hours.

It was a habit of mine to read ligth novels in my free time thus why I know the clichés.

Belive it or not I've read more than 60 of them in 4 months (mostly light novels)

Without me noticing someone approached my table.

"uh, em hello?" a soft voice siad.

She was of averege height with a summer hat, and a giant green dress that stretched to her shoes, her hair was long and slgith brownish--with blue eyes.

She was also holding onto an odd looking wooden staff with a shining orb on the middle.

Finally an interesting turn of events!

"hello!" is siad with as much enthusiasm as possible.

She didn't answer, instead only holding her heads down, with both of her hands clenching a tatered a paper.

It was the paper I had hung earlier!

"oh, please sitt down!"

She sat down silently and placed the paper in front of me with a depressed look, she started betting her nails in anxiety.

She sure has somme problem.

The paper gave some details;

Name: Leyla marquess.

Age;23.

Class:mage.

There where other insignificant details, but she signed the paper with a simple x.. Relatable!

There was also the reason for joining to which there was only written 'private' on it well I worn but in into people's buisness.

She started looking worried as I scanned through the page.

"well...." she said worriedly.

"well?, accepted I guess I don't have reason not to"

When she hard that she gave a slight smile and thanked me prefusly.

What's her problem, is admition to a party that hard? I belive not.... Atleast hopefully?

Well now I have a party!

Leyla huh? Interesting!
