Stealers Wheel Pulp

Embers Of The Night

As Mia drove through the bustling city streets, her heart began to race—not from the traffic, but from the chilling knowledge that a bomb had been planted in her car. The news had come through a frantic message on her phone, a warning from an anonymous source that sent her spiraling into a state of panic. She gripped the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles turning white as she fought to maintain control. With every red light, her dread deepened. She knew that the moment she stopped the car, the bomb would detonate. The thought of leaving her Lysander behind filled her with a profound sense of sorrow. They had so many plans, dreams of a future together that now felt impossibly distant. With trembling hands, she picked up her phone and dialed Lysander’s number. “Mi Amore?” Lysander’s voice came through, laced with concern. “What’s wrong?” Mia smiled sadly, he could always tell when something was bothering her and yet she was going to leave him. “Lysander , I need you to listen to me,” she said, her voice quivering. “ You’re a very great person. I never thought I would find this type of love. I only thought love like this was just a fairytale. But you….you….” Mia paused taking in a deep breath. “Anna? What’s happening? Is something wrong? You’re scaring me.” Tears rolled down her cheeks as she turned her head towards the backseat where the bomb sat. How could she tell this to Lysander? She was going to die and leave him. She was going to leave him alone with the thoughts and dreams they shared. Silence hung heavy on the line, and Anna could almost hear the rapid beating of her heart. “I just found out…… I… I don’t have much time,” she choked out, tears streaming down her cheeks. “I’m so sorry, love. I won’t be able to see you again.” “Don’t say that! We’ll figure this out! Just tell me what’s happening? ” he urged, desperation creeping into his tone. “No, please, just listen. It’s too late now. I love you so much, and I want you to remember that. You’ve made my life so beautiful. I wish I could hold you one last time.” Her voice broke as she fought to keep her composure. “Anna, don’t—” “I have to go, Lysander . Just know that I’m always with you.” With that, she hung up, her heart shattering into a million pieces. She looked at the cliff ahead of her and stepped on the gas, the car racing towards the cliff. ************* In the heart of a bustling college town, twenty-year-old Anna Mia Harper is juggling classes, bills, and a growing sense of despair as an orphan navigating life on her own. Desperate for cash, she stumbles upon a peculiar job listing: a grave cleaner and companion for the dead at the local cemetery, promising a month’s rent for just one night of work. Excited by the prospect, Anna Mia arrives under the eerie glow of the moon, ready to face whatever the night may bring. But when she encounters a mysterious man lounging atop a tombstone—one who bears a striking resemblance to a deceased local legend—her heart races. Is he a ghost, a trick of the light, or something more sinister?

Entwined: Stuck in Her Grip

◾ SYNOPSIS◾ He stood motionlessly, his cloth dripping of excess muddy liquid, his gaze fixed on the retreating petite figure, riding away on her bicycle. His face was as phlegmatic as ever, his icy stare lingering on the lucky lass. "Just say the word, Zay", his friend nudged. An almost inaudible sigh escaped his lips. He dug his finger into his hair, ruffling it a bit. He turned around and walked towards his car, not even sparing his friend a glance. As soon as he gets in, he shuts the car door, placing his head on the car's head rest while closing his eyes. His men understood the message and put down their guns. Jove shook his head and turned to walk to the car. "It's your first time, dude. What the heck happened?" He asked, walking into the car. "Take the wheels, Damon." His mesmerizing yet cold voice rang, ignoring Jove's question. Jove sighed dramatically and leant back on the seat, bringing out his phone - he was used to his best friend already. Zayde Stoll was the name. His name alone triggered lots of emotions - love, admiration, fear, hatred and every other feelings one could possibly have. He was dangerously handsome; an exact opposite of his real self. At 25, he already was the world's youngest billionaire, having the least number of ten companies in each country. His name made great men fall to their knees and everyone wondered how his fame grew that much. He was known to be eerily cold and he killed without second thoughts. He only needed to say the word and whoever would drop at his feet. He was a real description of a merciless demigod and people shook when he entered college. Jove was his best friend and the only person he talks to aside his Dad, despite their very striking differences. Jove complimented his name - he was one hell of a jovial person and really cheerful...but the heck, he was the world's biggest player. Although he condemned the manner with which Zayde handled his victims, he knew he couldn't do anything about it, having known Zayde since childhood. "Damon! You want to kill us?!" Jove suddenly yelled, yanking off the earpiece he had on. He had fallen back on impulse from the near death crash they barely escaped. He glanced at Zayde, a mistake at first, because the latter never acted like something just happened. His men kept stoic faces too, leaving him dumbfounded. "Am I the only living thing in this car? Because Damon almost sent us to our earliest graves and none of you will f**cking tell me you didn't see that!" Jove yelled. He was this close to being infuriated. Damon chuckled loudly. "It was only a mistake", he said with a shrug. "Yeah, a mistake that would've marked an end to my beautiful life", he said bluntly, his voice unable to mask the sarcasm. "You should be shameless at times, Jove." Boris said, turning back to look at Jove. Just then, Zayde put on his headphone with a slightly irritated huff, a clear indication everyone were disturbing him. They all shut up at once, returning to their previous activities. "You'll watch them kill me one day." Jove mumbled, sinking down into the seat.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.

Yet, unbeknownst to the warring factions, there lay a mystery so profound, its unravelling held the key to their salvation. Within the fabric of this unfolding tale, stories of great import had been meticulously woven, their threads entwined with the destinies of both kingdoms. Like ancient manuscripts concealed in the recesses of time, these tales held wisdom, guidance, and the power to shape the future. Meanwhile, even the divine forces themselves, the Gods who presided over the realms, were not immune to the allure of secrets. For amidst the chaos and turmoil, they too had veiled something of extraordinary significance, a celestial secret yearning to be discovered. As the wheels of war began to turn, both kingdoms grappled with the weight of their misconceptions, each side believing their cause to be just. But little did they realize that buried within their shared history and intertwined fates were the clues to unravel the enigma that held them captive. In the shadowy depths of this conflict, where swords clashed and soldiers cried out in anguish, the key to resolution lay concealed, waiting for intrepid souls to embark on a quest for truth. For it was through the unearthing of these hidden tales, the deciphering of the ancient texts, and the unmasking of the divine secret that a glimmer of hope would arise—a chance to heal the wounds of misunderstanding and bring forth a future where unity and harmony would prevail. As the war drums reverberated across the kingdoms, and the Gods watched from their celestial thrones, the stage was set for a grand tapestry of discovery, where the destinies of nations, the power of stories, and the enigmatic designs of the divine would converge in a cataclysmic clash of revelation and redemption.

My top might have ridden up a little and I just could not possibly stop myself from grinning whenever I caught him staring "Does someone love my tattoos?" I asked with a teasing smile and a silly look plastered on my face "They are beau--ti--ti--ti--ful--ful" he stammered and held the steering wheel tighter "Cats got your tongue or are you just nervous around a sexy thing like me" I said and purred, enjoying how he was getting red. He was a tough one, he refused to stare at me, he just kept his focus on the road. "Awww, am I not tempting enough to steal your attention?" I said mocking how focused he was. I caught his eyes moving from me to the road. I have gotten a reaction "So I am tempting?" I asked with a  smirk plastered on my face. He really makes teasing easy but not fun, he is not flirting back, making me look like a whore 'You are one' my subconscious reminded me again, I gasped and smirked 'Am I?' I wanted to laugh at my own joke but I do not think Sebastian is ready for more craziness. I sort of miss Regina, sorry my room, I might be asleep right now or trapped in a book, got to keep straight A's. I looked up and realized the dirt path we were driving through looked familiar "Sebastian?" I called, he hummed to tell me he was listening "Where are we?" I asked "I have brought you to your doom...

Eden's Bad Apples

The Hollowing came like a thief in the dead of the night - silent, merciless, and absolute. It was an event that permanently scarred humanity’s history, stealing along all of the possibility, wonder and hope that this world once had - for it was the year that the spark of wonder had been wretched from existence, the year that magic had died. But many soon came to realise that the Hollowing was not the end but the beginning. Cracks opened around the world, bringing about the descent of the Dark fog, and along with it, a dread unbound by mortal thought which devoured the weak and hunted those who still clung too closely to the memory of magic. Year 3999. 1800 years after the Hollowing, humanity has been pushed to live inside the walls of Domes: monolithic walls, encasing gargantuan swaths of land protected by an ancient being from the era of magic, the Acacia. Yet, the peace that it brought was like a festering wound, throbbing with unresolved mysteries and bringing about feelings of hatred and fear, of that day 1800 years ago when one decided to break an oath. As tensions beneath the surface simmer and an unknown group threatens to sink humanity down once and for all, a meeting that would change the fate of a young boy - one that had the potential to shake both sides, one that would bring about change to the whole continent of Paradoxia - was about to take place. The meeting of disciple and master. It was at that moment that the goddess of fate began to spin her wheel to weave tales for this forgotten world once more.
