"The boss once said he just wants to be an ordinary shopkeeper. Do you get it now?" Bu Lige added at just the right moment.
Luo Chuan, who had been leisurely reclining at the door, couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. It seemed that Bu Lige was more perceptive than he let on.
"Just an ordinary shopkeeper?" Jiang Shengjun frowned, paused in thought, then his face brightened. He nodded enthusiastically. "Ah, I get it now! I understand everything!"
Behind the counter, Yao Ziyan rolled her eyes at their conversation.
The human world truly was a complicated place.
"What's in the store?" Jiang Shengjun asked, his curiosity piqued.
"This is spicy strips, and over there is Coke. The descriptions are right below," Yao Ziyan replied, pointing to the respective shelves.
Jiang Shengjun nodded, then began studying the descriptions intently.
Bu Lige and Bu Shiyi exchanged knowing smiles, eagerly anticipating Jiang Shengjun's reaction.
As expected, after reading, Jiang Shengjun's face was filled with disbelief.
"Recovering from all non-fatal injuries and enhancing one's strength... I don't think even the highest-grade pills can do that, can they?" Jiang Shengjun said, eyes wide with shock.
"Of course not!" Bu Lige replied with confidence. "Don't even think about comparing the boss's products to those worthless pills. They're in a league of their own!"
Jiang Shengjun nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Moreover, the products here aren't just effective—they're delicious! Even the food from Wind Immortal Pavilion can't hold a candle to them!" Bu Lige added with a conspiratorial grin.
"Really?!" Jiang Shengjun's eyes widened even further in disbelief.
"Really!"
Ignoring the banter between the two, Bu Shiyi stepped toward a new shelf, her eyes fixed on a jade bottle that stood out among the rest.
"Jelly Dew, brewed from the fountain of life. Revitalizes, grants immortality, and chases the soul!"
Bu Shiyi's gaze grew incredulous.
Had she seen this claim in any other store, she would have dismissed it outright. But here, in this shop, it seemed entirely plausible.
Her eyes flicked to the price tag.
"Ahem, 100,000 spirit crystals?!"
Even Bu Shiyi, the daughter of the Southern Protector, couldn't hide her surprise. She took a sharp breath, realizing this was far beyond her means.
"I can't afford this," she thought, mentally excusing herself from making a purchase.
"Sister, is this the new product the boss mentioned?" Bu Lige asked, leaning in to get a closer look.
Jiang Shengjun followed suit, scanning the description with growing disbelief. His expression mirrored that of Bu Shiyi.
"Well, sister, I think I'll have to forgo my treat..." Bu Lige said with a rueful grin. One hundred thousand spirit crystals—certainly a price beyond even the Origin MasteryRealm's elite to afford casually.
Bu Lige glanced at Luo Chuan, lounging at the door, a mixture of awe and resentment in his eyes.
Jiang Shengjun cleared his throat and spoke cautiously. "Ahem, I think I'll stick with the spicy strips and Coke. No need for the Jelly Dew."
"By the way, shop policy is that each person can only purchase one of each item per day," Yao Ziyan chimed in with a cheerful tone.
Neither Bu Shiyi nor Bu Lige seemed surprised; they were already well-acquainted with the rule.
"Those are the rules here?" Jiang Shengjun asked, pausing for a moment. Then, with a nod of understanding, he said, "Got it."
The three of them each grabbed a pack of spicy strips and a bottle of Coke, settling their payments with spirit crystals.
Following Bu Shiyi's example, Jiang Shengjun opened his Coke and took a sip.
Instantly, a sharp, cold rush spread through his chest, and the fizz exploded in his mouth. His eyes widened in astonishment.
