Chapter 47 - The First Customer’s Tale

"What's that smell?"

Bu Lige twitched his nose, his face full of curiosity.

Beside him, Jiang Shengjun followed closely. Despite their initial disagreements, the two now appeared as if they were the best of friends.

"Could it be that the boss has introduced new products again?" Jiang Shengjun's eyes sparkled with excitement as he voiced his guess.

"It has to be!" Bu Lige nodded confidently.

The duo hurried toward the alley with growing anticipation, only to stumble upon a group of five men squatting in front of the store.

Among them, Zhou Hu and his companions clutched containers of instant noodles, while Luo Chuan reclined lazily on his rocking chair.

"Brother Bu, look at what they're holding!" Jiang Shengjun pointed at the noodle containers, swallowing hard as the tantalizing aroma filled the air.

A rich, mouthwatering fragrance lingered, captivating their senses.

"The boss is so sneaky, releasing new products without telling us!" Bu Lige muttered under his breath, pouting in mild indignation.

"Boss, is this a new product?" Bu Lige asked as they approached Luo Chuan.

Luo Chuan nodded calmly. "That's right."

The moment they stepped inside the store, the two spotted Yao Ziyan behind the counter, enjoying a cup of instant noodles.

"Sister Ziyan, we'll each take a bucket of instant noodles! Oh, and some spicy strips and cola too!" they exclaimed in unison.

"Help yourselves, but don't forget the spirit crystals," Yao Ziyan replied, glancing up briefly.

Bu Lige and Jiang Shengjun hurried to the shelves and inspected the instant noodles.

"Wow! Enhances training speed tenfold for an hour!" Bu Lige gasped after reading the product description. "The boss's products never fail to amaze me!"

With something like this aiding their cultivation daily, entering the Soul Dominion realm would practically be guaranteed—provided their talents weren't hopeless.

"Brother Bu, I noticed them using hot water earlier," Jiang Shengjun noted, recalling Zhou Hu's earlier actions.

"Hot water?" Bu Lige frowned, clearly puzzled.

Overhearing their conversation, Yao Ziyan pointed to a machine in the corner. "Hot water is available there. Each use costs 100 spirit crystals."

Bu Lige: …

Jiang Shengjun: …

That's outrageous!

This was their immediate thought.

However, minutes later, both men found themselves squatting in front of the store, happily slurping instant noodles alongside Zhou Hu and his group.

Their resentment about the hot water fee had entirely dissipated. After all, the vitality spring water being used as hot water—at just 100 spirit crystals—was practically a gift!

"You two heard about this place from Wei Qingzhu, right?" Zhou Hu asked curiously.

Judging from their fine clothing and luxurious demeanor, Zhou Hu assumed the two were not ordinary customers like mercenaries. His question was more out of habit than expectation.

Wei Qingzhu? Must be another customer of the store, Bu Lige thought to himself.

"No, I discovered this store myself," Bu Lige replied, a hint of pride in his tone. "In fact, I'm the very first customer!"

His words carried a sense of accomplishment.

"I see." Zhou Hu nodded, now understanding.

"Brother Bu, how did you come across this store?" Jiang Shengjun asked, intrigued.

"It was an afternoon when the setting sun was like blood…"

Bu Lige began recounting his tale with dramatic flair, his eyes distant as he relived the moment.

The group listened attentively, captivated by his story. Origin Mall had an aura of mystery, and they were eager to uncover more about this extraordinary place.
