As they were about to leave the room, Mila heard Zyran's phone ring again. She gave a quick side-eye, trying to catch a glance at who it was. She wasn't trying to poke her nose around, but she did.
And it was the same person. My Gaia. Mila had no doubt that it was truly his wife or girlfriend, but Ashley had clearly told her that Zyran didn't have any scandal. Feeling a cold aura around her, Mila moved her eyes away from the phone, only to settle them on Zyran's stoic gaze. She gulped.
"You're scaring her," Grandpa Alvaro said with a small frown. He tugged Mila's hand as they stepped out of the room.
Before the door closed, Mila heard Zyran pick up his phone, and from the look of things, he was explaining something serious to whoever was on the other end of the call.
