The smell of musk and sweat filled the bucker like natural air, "Soldiers at attention!", the booming voice of my commander startled the entire bucker as he entered with his normal black shirt and cargo pants, his presence was suffocating. A symphony of boot stomps followed and filled the room, "Jackson report!", Jackson was a face and name i knew since childhood, his shaggy dirty blonde hair hovered slightly above his cocky but tired blue eyes, "Jackson report status", Jackson pulled a clipboard from his bed, "the bunkers power is lowering quickly, and on top of that the hunt is beginning in a few days ", Jackson took a second and paused to look at the commander waiting for his reaction. The commander's figure was imposing to most as he was basically a refrigerator of man, he towered over most my mates being about six foot nine and maybe a good two hundred fifty pounds of pure muscle. The commander rubbed his shiny bald head with an exasperated sigh, "alright everyone report to training area pendragon you stay back and clean the bunkers", I could barely mutter a response before he shot me a glare, "stay", this time it sounded almost like a threat, "yes sir", I stepped back as the metal floors creaked, "good now everyone else report to the training room", he turned and left without anymore words. The bunker cleared out instantly leaving the bunker basically empty expect for the lingering words of the commander. I turned looking over the stuffy and humid room, "this is so dumb", i walked through the room picking up discarded clothes and socks putting them in the room's hamper, as i continued to clean the room the sounds of rapid footsteps above me caused my blood to freeze almost instantly. I rushed for the rooms door bursting through door into the bunkers hall startling other people, "the hunts begin!", as i spoke no body no one moved as they glanced as me with disgust, "quit spouting nonsense Pendragon", one of them spoke with venom in their voice, "but i'm not i hear-", the sound of a boom echoed from the front of the bunker silenced me as i looked to the other people. They looked at me before shoving me to the ground and running away,"stay behind pendragon you'll be useful bait",I pushed myself from ground before looking down the hall wall seeing a large shadow creeping down the hall, its figure obscured completely by the darkness. I turned and instantly rushed the opposite direction going for the training room. I pushed the door to the training open startling the entire room as the commander turned to me with an irritated look across his face, "Pendragon i thoug-", I put my hand out as he stopped with an irritated growl, "the hunt has began", I could barely get the words out due to my heavy breathing. The commander sighed as he began walking towards me, "so you interrupted training for some sheeps tale the hunt isn't supposed to start for another few days", he put his hand on my shoulder with a terrifying grip, "i'm serious commander the bunker is invaded", he sighed again looking down at me, "you really are a pest sometimes", i looked at him with wide eyes. Before I spoke he drove his fist into my stomach with a sickening force as my body completely gave out. He crouched in front of me grabbing my hair, "now if you interrp-" , before the commander could finish his sentence the door to the training room was flung off its hinges. All heads in the room instantly shot to the door. Standing in the doorway was a humanoid creature whose body was completely covered in brown fur, its facial features resembled that of a canine, its teeth were sharp and drenched in blood, and its size was also nothing to joke about as it made the commander look like a child. The commander instantly let go of my hair standing up with a serious expression, "soldiers arm up you too Pendragon we're dealing with lycans right now", the commander instantly spring off his feet tackling the creature through a wall charging the two of them into a different room. I slowly pushed myself up. As I finished standing we all rushed to the sides as the clattering of steel rang out. As I grasped a sword in my hand it's weight was heavy and unfamiliar. The second I turned i was met with a fist that sent my head snapping back. I felt my body slam against the weapons rack. I looked up as jackson stared at me, "we'll eventually need a scape goat and it'll be you understand", I shake, "no i won't be", he swung again aiming for my jaw. I ducked my head down swinging the swords handle into his face as he staggered back, "stop trying to fight me we have a bigger issue for right now", he looked at me glaring through my soul, "once this is over it's me and you understand", i sighed rubbing my nose feeling something warm spread across my hand. I looked to my hand seeing the blood from my nose, "god you can be an idiot sometimes", he huffed loudly before taking a spear from the rack, "just shut up and let's help the commander before he loses his composure against that wolf and wreck most the floor", I moved the sword around a few times getting use to it's weight a bit, "god i don't understand why everyone enjoy using weapon", Jackson scoffed spinning the spear easily as the wind whooshed slightly, "of course you don't your minds been the those stupid books", I couldn't hold a laugh as i started to walk towards the wall, "you may be number one in combat but don't forget who's number one in intellect", Jackson scoffed before laughing, "and that's why nobody in the bunker likes you nerd", we continued forward towards the hole, "you aren't exactly popular yourself mister perfect ", he shot me a glare as i just rolled my eyes. We ran down the hole following the damage as the rest of the soldiers followed. A loud crashed happened behind me and Jackson, "what?", both our heads snapped around towards the sound. The others soldiers body were being ripped through the sicking brutality by a brown furred blur, "nooo!", Jackson went to rush towards them before i stopped him, "you idiot don't go rushing in", as I finished speaking another a humanoid wolf stepped through the fresh hole looking towards us with blood soaked teeth, "you take the sliver i take the brown", Jackson scoff but nodding," fine just stop commanding me you idiot", I laughed as I rolled my eyes, "funny coming from you", he shot me a death glare as I walked towards the brown lycan, "just shut up", he rushed at the sliver one spinning the spear like a whirlwind. As I rushed the brown Lycan the sword's weight still offset me slightly as my body slipped slightly to right. The lycan almost instantly took the chance swinging its fist at my head. I could barely think before the punch knocked me off of my feet as i slammed into a wall a few feet from it. I felt my back cry in pain as I slid down it slightly. I glanced over to Jackson who was cleaving large chucks of lycan off in single swings. I turned back to the brown lycan who seemed to just be staring at me with its blood soaked teeth glistening off the light in the room, "human…come", I stumbled back slightly as it spoke broken english in an almost human voice. I couldn't hesitate as i ran towards it. The lycan looked unworried as i continued forward. I swung the sword in a wide arc aiming for its neck. The Lycan leaned back as the sword missed slightly. It grabbed my arm driving a knee into my stomach crippling me in a instant, "ugh", I felt the air in my body escape in an instant. It grabbed the nape of my neck throwing my threw through the air. My body soared through the air as i shot past Jackson into another wall filling it crack slightly. My body slid down the wall as it continued to cry. Jackson turned to me while dodging hits from the Lycan with ease, "get it together idiot and use that the brain of yours," I groaned as I pushed myself from the ground, shakily thinking to myself about the situation as I began scanning the room for notable things, seeing a bunch of useless stuff. "There's not much of use in here," Jackson laughed, looking at me. "When did that ever stop you, junkrat?" I hated when he called me that. Jackson Leaning back a final time before driving his spear through its head, piercing it completely. He spun the spear, flinging the blood from its silver blade. "Now I'll pick up your slack; just figure something out," I rubbed my head, thinking as Jackson rushed the brown one. I followed him as he swung in a wide arc, aiming for its arm. The Lycan slightly flexed its arm as the blade barely drew blood. I run from behind Jackson, slashing at its leg deeply. It howled slightly as it jumped back a bit as steam erupted from the wound before stopping a moment later. It moved its leg a few times. "It healed?" I looked to Jackson. "Since when could lycans heal?" Jackson looked surprised as well. "They shouldn't". "Lycans have been around since the day the sun fell, and none of them have shown healing capabilities, and it's been over fifty years since that day." The growl of the lycan drew our attention back to reality. "Well, we can't stress it right now." I ran at it first as Jackson followed. The Lycan rushed us, cracking the floor beneath it. It leaped into the air with surprising force. I looked over to Jackson, "Move." I jumped over to the right as Jackson jumped to the left. The metal floor instantly caved in as the Lycan's foot pierced the floor. I turned in an instant, taking the opportunity, "Jackson!" He instantly turned around, spinning around and launching the spear off his right foot. The lycan looked between the two of us as it turned to stop me from tugging its leg free. Shredding its leg up into a mess of fur and blood as it howled in pain. Its leg began steaming again as the Lycan went to put its leg down. I threw my sword at it, cleaving through it completely as it crumbled forward. The spear Jackson threw pierced through its chest as it howled in pain. It fell forward, collapsing. I looked to Jackson, "Think it's dead?" He picked up a piece of broken metal stabbing into its head. "Now it is." The adrenaline in my body instantly stopped as I crumbled to my knees, feeling all the pain rushing over my body like an overpowering wave. "Aye, get up; this isn't the time to be tapping out." Jackson snatched me onto my feet. Our heads snapped down as we felt the floor beneath us. I looked over to Jackson, "Commander?" He shook his head, looking tired. "Yep, you know it." We started to head towards the noise. We came to a large hole ripped into the metal wall in front of us. "Wait, did we really just leave our weapons behind?" Jackson turned to me, looking dumbfounded. "Oh my god, we're so stupid," I closed my eyes, sighing. "We shou—" my head snapped back as a punch connected to my nose. I stumbled back, holding my nose as blood dripped slightly. "What are you doing?" I looked at Jackson as he cracked a cocky smile. "I told you it'd be just us, remember?" I looked at him for a second. "Do you realize what situation we're in? There are an unknown number of lycans in the bunker, and you want to fight?" He laughed a bit, cracking his knuckles. "Believe me, it won't take long for this fight to end; then we'll handle whatever's next." I looked at him dumbfounded. "Are you serious, Jackson? Like, I know we've had issues since childhood, but can we handle this once it's over?" He looked unfazed. "Nope, right here, right now." He ran at me wildly. He swung a wide hook at my head. I threw my guard up as his fist connected with my arm, its force stinging like a bee's. I dropped my guard swing to his side. The hit connected cleanly as my fist stung, and he grunted. He brought his elbow down onto my back as my body,"agh!", collapsed to the floor. I slammed my elbow into his stomach as he also crumbled in front of me. I lifted my head, bringing my fist up to his chin. His head snapped back as he fell backwards. I got to my feet, feeling blood flowing from my nose. "You done?" Jackson pushed himself to his feet, smiling. "You think I'm number one in combat for no reason?" He rushed me quicker than before. I instantly put my guard up as he got closer. I stumbled back slightly as he ducked under my guard, wrapping his arms around my waist and lifting me into the air. I instantly knew what was about to happen; I tried freeing myself from his grip, getting nowhere. The second I connected with the floor, every bone, muscle, and cell in my body cried in agony, "Ugh!", I felt my vision shake as I bounced off the floor slightly. He looked down at me, "Never forget, I've always been the stronger one." I groaned before taking a deep breath, "Fine fine you win." He laughed heavily before pulling me from the ground, "Good, you know who's better." I couldn't help but cough as I fully stood up, "Just shut up, you wannabe antagonist." He drove his elbow into my stomach, "Shut up." He turned back forward, dragging me along with my arm around his shoulder, "Let's go find the commander".
