Ben is a teenager living in the United kingdom, he studies at a public school and takes art courses, he really loves painting and that got him really popular around school, everyone wants to be friends with him.
Though what most people don't see in him stays hidden. Until his last days, every night, he's stuck in a nightmare, he never had a positive dream his whole life, he just ran to hide every single night, and though it should all just be a dream, it affects him as a person

It is the first day of school, Ben goes to sit down in the last row, no one sitting next to him, he didn't mind it at all, that is until a new girl walked into class, she had short blue hair and blue eyes, he could feel her starting into his soul as she walked to him and sat next to him
Ben was sketching the stuff he saw in his nightmares last night, like he always did, he didn't know what to do so he just drew what he saw and showed his therapist
The girl laughed a little seeing his hurry in closing the sketchbook
"Those were cute. No need to hide them!"
".. Thank you, what is your name? I have never seen you here" he replied with a slightly anxious tone
"Oh I'm kate, I just transferred here, what about you?"
"My name's ben.. Nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too! So what are those things you're drawing? Imaginary friends? Or characters from a game? I'm curious come on!"
".. Yeah they're from.. Yeah a game"
"Oh that's cool.. So you're a gamer?"
".. Yeah I am"
".. I could guess, you know you should probably do something about that acne and fat.." Kate had a slightly rude tone in her voice, as Ben went quiet right after and waited for class to begin
Classes went through slower than usual, and when they were done, Ben got up to leave, but as he was exiting, kate grabbed his wrist, so strongly it made the scars from last night's nightmare hurt
"You know, Ben, we should totally exchange numbers! To chat a little! We could become great friends"
"Yeah sure.. It's fine by me, here's my number"
"Thank you new friend! I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"See you.."
Ben walked home, the more he walked and thought about Kate, the more the scars began to hurt, he had scars all over his arms, and they went deeper than just the skin, some even reached his bones
As he got home, he went to the bathroom and took off his shirt, looking at his arms carefully, he was still bleeding out strongly, it hurt, a lot, but he was used to the pain, before the nightmares began to hurt he did it to himself, so he could say it wasn't as painful to him
His mom called out for dinner, he was about to go, when he remembered the words he received, "you should do something about that fat", he decided to skip dinner, just telling his mother he already ate something, and directly going to his room to study, and then sleeping.
As he fell asleep, his head started to hurt, he found himself again in the same place as every night, he was in a dark room, he couldn't see a thing, he could just hear a newly familiar voice talking
"Ben, oh, Ben, must you be this clueless about everything, your time is near, accept it and make it come sooner, will you? "
He tried looking around for the source of the voice, but before he could even speak up, he found himself having his face grabbed, an hand covering his mouth, painted nails going through his skin, as the same voice spoke
"Don't you panic, little child, everything's gonna be over soon"
He could feel himself closing his eyes again, as the nails went deeper and deeper into his skin, then leaving him bleeding on the ground
He woke up.
