As they entered their room, she couldn't shake the unease that had settled in her chest. Hades closed the door behind them, locking it with a quiet click before turning to her. His eyes immediately narrowed as he caught the sudden change in her mood.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"It's nothing," she said quickly, not meeting his gaze.
Hades crossed the room in a few long strides, standing directly in front of her. "Aurelia," he said firmly, "Tell me."
She hesitated, then let out a small sigh. "It's just… I noticed how you changed when we got back to the hotel. You got all serious and distant. I thought maybe it was because… you didn't want your guards to see us together."
For a moment, Hades stared at her. Then, to her surprise, he threw his head back and laughed.
