Chapter 2 - System Awakening

DING

"Don't tell me this is what I think it is!?" Zynos exclaimed, his voice trembling with a mix of surprise and unease. Suddenly, his consciousness began to waver as a cold sensation spread through his body.

[System Synchronization… 100… 90… 80…]

[70… 40… 20… 5…]

[DING! Suitable host detected. Synchronization completed.]

[Searching for a suitable system for host…]

[DING! Suitable system detected.]

[PRIMORDIAL CHAOS LUST SYSTEM]

[The host is required to brace for the impact of system injection. It might hurt a little.]

"Oh no, I have a bad fee—ARGHHHH!"

Xynos let out an agonized scream as searing pain coursed through his body. It felt as though every cell in his being was being torn apart and rebuilt from scratch.

"Damn it… I have to endure this!" he thought, gritting his teeth hard enough to almost crack them. "I don't know what kind of system this is, but I'll bet my left ball it'll benefit me immensely."

After what felt like an eternity, the excruciating pain finally subsided. Xynos collapsed onto the floor, drenched in sweat, gasping for breath. Gathering the last bit of his strength, he smirked faintly and whispered, "Status."

A glowing panel appeared before him, displaying his details:

[Name: Zynos Zephrax

Age: 21

Physique: None

Bloodline: Primordial Incubus Demon [Locked]

Cultivation: Body Refining Initial Stage

Lust Points: 0

Harem Members: None

Blank Points: 10 (System-gifted)]

"Primordial Incubus Demon?!" he muttered in disbelief, his eyes widening. He knew what an incubus was, but the word primordial made it sound overwhelmingly powerful.

"And what's with my name? Sounds like something straight out of a fantasy novel. No physique… And what the hell lust points?"

A cool, borderline mechanical female voice suddenly echoed in his mind:

[Host, the more you slaughter and engage in carnal activities, the more points you will acquire. These points can be used to purchase anything from the system.]

"What the heck does this system want me to become? A whore… or a mass murderer?" His eyes twitching.

"Hey, system," he asked aloud, "Isn't there some sort of beginner's pack or freebies?"

[Host, the ten blank points gifted to you are precious enough to buy large mansions in this city. Use them wisely,] the system replied.

"Sigh, I guess that's a no," Xynos muttered, rubbing his temples. "That old man should be back soon. Let's just take that medicine he went to fetch."

After a while the door creaked open, and the old man stepped in, his expression weary but determined. He glanced at Xynos, his eyes widening in surprise when he saw the faint glimmer of life and determination in the young master's gaze—a stark contrast to the despair he had witnessed earlier.

Still, he brushed his astonishment aside. There were more pressing matters.

Carefully, he opened a wooden box, revealing a vibrant blue-purple ginseng that emitted a faint, otherworldly glow. Without hesitation, the old man mixed the ginseng with a healing potion and poured it into Xynos' mouth.

"This is our last hope," the old man muttered under his breath, silently praying as he left the room.

[Host, there is a poison in your body blocking all medicinal and healing effects. It is also rapidly devouring your vitality. Do you wish to remove it? Cost: 1 Blank Point.]

Xynos' eyes narrowed. "Remove it," he said firmly. He didn't know why even the system had warned him about this poison, but he wasn't about to take any chances.

[DING! The poison has been successfully removed.]

A soothing wave of energy coursed through his body, mending his wounds and filling him with renewed vitality. The gaping hole in his chest closed entirely, leaving only faint scarring behind.

"Finally… what a relief," Xynos sighed, standing up and stretching his sore limbs. He stumbled to a mirror, eager to see his reflection—and froze.

Staring back at him was a short, somewhat average-looking young man. His face, while not unattractive, lacked the striking features he had always imagined he'd possess.

"Heh, welp my bloodline's still locked" he let out a chuckle, shaking his head.

SNAP!

The door suddenly burst open, and a tall, elegant woman stormed in. Her long silver hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her piercing blue eyes brimmed with worry.

"Zynos!" she cried, rushing to him and enveloping him in her arms, her massive bust pressing against him. "My precious baby, I was so worried about you!" she sniffled, holding him tightly.

"Mother…" The word slipped from Zynos' lips unbidden, and with it came a strange, unfamiliar warmth. Slowly, he returned her embrace.

The old man, who had followed her inside, muttered in shock, "He really woke up…"

Aurielle pulled back, tears streaming down her face. "I told you so many times not to chase after that bitch! Yet you… you…" Her voice cracked, and she burst into sobs.

Zynos sighed inwardly. He knew she was venting her frustration at his past self. He didn't interrupt, allowing her to cry it out.

After a few minutes, her sobs subsided.

"I'm sorry for making you worry, Mother," Zynos said softly, the word mother feeling both foreign and comforting on his tongue.

Aurielle's breath hitched. In all the years she had known her son, he had never once apologized so sincerely—or referred to her as mother without contempt.

"Don't worry, Mother," he added, his tone low yet firm. "I'll take care of this mess."

Her eyes widened in disbelief at his newfound resolve. "It seems the trauma he endured has changed him a little," she thought, her heart aching with concern.

As she opened her mouth to speak, Zynos interrupted gently, "Mother, I'd like to rest for now. We'll talk tomorrow."

"Alright," Aurielle said reluctantly, casting him one last worried glance before leaving with the old man.

The room fell silent. Zynos sighed, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "I never thought I'd have a caring mother in this life too," he murmured.

"Now then… system, show me my stats."

[Name: Zynos Zephrax

Cultivation: Body Strengthening Initial Stage

Carnage Points (CP): 0

Lust Points (LP): 0

Blank Points (BP): 9]

"So, the injury was so severe that my cultivation regressed," he mused aloud, his tone tinged with amusement.

"Well, no use crying over spilled milk. I'll just have to milk this system for all it's worth," he muttered with a sly grin.

"Hey, system, how do I earn these points?" he asked mentally, his eyes gleaming with determination.
