Chapter 3 - First Quest

[There are two ways for the Host to earn these points. The first way is to indulge in deep carnal activities with women, and based on the emotions the women experience, the system will reward you with Lust Points.]

[And one hundred Lust Points equal one Blank Point.]

The system's voice echoed in his head. "Alright then, what's the second way?" he asked with a faint smirk.

[The second way is through quests ranging from Iron → Silver → Gold → Platinum. Iron-level quests are the simplest, while Platinum-level quests will be the most challenging.]

[By completing these quests, you will directly earn Blank Points.]

"Ho? That does sound interesting," Zynos mused, amusement flickering in his expression.

"Hey system, how do I unlock my bloodline? And what's this 'Primordial' Level?" he asked, his voice tinged with excitement.

[...]

"Alright, I'll figure it out later," he muttered, suppressing his curiosity for the time being.

Soon after, he allowed exhaustion to take over. Today had been a taxing day, and this body he now inhabited wasn't his own. Sleep came swiftly.

Eternal Sky Pavilion

The Eternal Sky Pavilion stood as one of the most prominent clans in the Blue Sky World. In the center of their expansive territory loomed a massive mansion, its grandeur unmistakable. Inside one of the lavishly decorated rooms, two men knelt, trembling before a woman seated on an ornate chair.

"What do you mean he survived?!" the young woman shouted, her voice slicing through the tension. She hurled a porcelain jar at one of the kneeling men, who barely managed to dodge the projectile.

"Y-young miss, w-we don't know how it happened! Even after we nearly beat him to death and used the Essence-Eating Poison on him, he's still alive. Our spy confirmed it!" the man stammered, his voice tinged with both shock and fear. He hesitated to mention the final detail: his mask had been exposed during the botched assassination attempt. He didn't dare utter those words.

"Useless fools!" she seethed. "Two mid-level masters, and you can't even kill a body-refining brat?!" Fury burned in her gaze as she stood, her aura suffocating.

She took a moment to regain her composure, muttering to herself. "Damn it... I didn't want to provoke that woman so early." Her expression darkened as she retrieved a jade communication talisman. Gritting her teeth, she activated it and contacted someone.

Inside Aurielle's Office

"Mother, I'm telling you—I'm fine," Zynos insisted, exasperated yet touched by his mother's concern. She held him tightly, her arms refusing to let go.

"I'll find that girl and slaughter her entire family!" Aurielle declared, her voice fierce and her expression maddened. Zynos, seated beside her, was momentarily entranced. Her fierce determination, combined with her stunning beauty, left him in awe.

"Hehe, Mother, killing her outright would be too easy," he said, a devious smirk playing on his lips. "I'll make sure she suffers first. It'll be far more... entertaining."

Aurielle blinked, startled by his words. Her son had always been a naive fool, more interested in chasing skirts and wasting money than anything meaningful. This sudden shift in demeanor intrigued her.

[DING]

[IRON-LEVEL QUEST DETECTED]

[Survive two days in the Eternal Greenwood Forest and prove your capability to your mother.]

[REWARD: DEMONIC CLAW]

A purple screen materialized before Zynos, startling him. He quickly scanned the details before laughing inwardly. "This is so vague. What level of strength am I supposed to display to 'prove myself'?" he pondered with a frown.

An idea struck him. "Mother, I've decided—I'm going to the Eternal Greenwood Forest to hunt," he declared, his tone resolute.

"W-what? Are you insane? You, a mere Initial stage Body Strengthening practitioner, want to enter the Greenwood Forest?" Aurielle's voice rose with a mix of shock and anger. Her concern was valid, considering the reckless and incompetent reputation of the body's previous owner.

"Just trust me, Mother. Give me one last chance to prove myself," he pleaded, forcing a determined expression onto his face. Internally, he cringed. " "How the hell does those protagonists say this with a straight face?" he thought.

Aurielle sighed, her maternal instincts warring with her logic. She wanted to refuse outright but found herself swayed by the unfamiliar determination in her son's eyes. "Fine," she relented. "But be careful, alright?"

"Alright," he replied, standing. With a final glance at his mother, he left the room.

Shortly after, a tall, busty blonde maid entered. Her brow furrowed with concern as she addressed Aurielle. "Madam, are you sure this is wise? The young master has only just recovered. It's far too dangerous to let him venture into the Greenwood Forest in his current state."

The 'concerned' of Aurielle was no longer there; instead there was a serene smile that adorned her beautiful face.

"Lyria keep an eye on him in the forest," Aureille said with a smile on his face.. Do not interfere unless he's on the brink of death. Understood?"

"Now go" She waved her hand and looked outside the window. No one knew what she was thinking.

"Yes, my lady," Lyria acknowledged with a bow before leaving.

Outside the Greenwood Forest

"Damn, this place is huge. Gotta give it that," Xynos said, his gaze sweeping over the expanse before him. The forest stretched endlessly, its ancient trees towering ominously, their shadows forming eerie patterns on the ground.

"Well, no point standing around," he said, steeling himself before stepping into the forest.

Unbeknownst to him, a figure emerged at the forest's edge. Clad in a maid's uniform, Lyria stood silently, her sharp eyes following his movements. Her presence was concealed, and her expression was unreadable.

"So far, so good," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else. Despite Aurielle's orders, Lyria couldn't help but feel anxious. The Eternal Greenwood Forest was no playground, and HER young master was a little underprepared for its dangers. Still, she had her orders—to watch, but not to act unless absolutely necessary.

Zynos, unaware of the watchful gaze on him, pressed forward to uncover the system's potential rewards.

The forest seemed alive, its shadows dancing ominously as if mocking his resolve. Yet, Zynos smirked to himself. "Let's see what you've got, Eternal Greenwood," he muttered, his voice filled with confidence.
