Crack.
Crack.
Crack.
An ominous cracking sound roused Adam. As he started to wake, he felt an odd pressure surrounding his entire body, constricting him. He tried to open his eyes but struggled against the darkness, confusion flooding his mind.
A wave of memories washed over him as he sought to understand where he was and what was happening. He remembered being a third-year medical student, celebrating a night out after a disappointing finals week with his friends.
Vaguely, he remembered crossing a busy street, a loud screech echoing in his ears, and then—pain. A sudden, overwhelming darkness.
The last thing Adam could remember was a surge of pain crashing into his side, followed by a sudden, overwhelming darkness."Did I die? Am I dead?" he mumbled, or at least tried to. But when he attempted to speak, no sound came out.
Crack.
Crack.
Crack.
The ringing sound continued for several minutes as Adam struggled to see or speak. Finally, a crack appeared in the space surrounding him, and light streamed in. Seizing the opportunity, Adam pushed with all his might. When he finally emerged, he saw three red moons hanging in the sky.
He looked around and found himself nestled in a nest with four other little white chicks. Instinctively, he recognized them: three were boys, and the last was a girl. Horror washed over him as he realized he was covered in feathers.
At that moment, a voice echoed in Adam's mind, sending a jolt through his little chick heart.
"Ah, Lastborne of my perfect flock. You have finally awakened and broken free. You, formed by my own divine blood. I wish I could embrace you, but powerful enemies pursue me. Here, in this nest, you are safest for now.
Grow. Evolve. Kill. Destroy.
Sow the seeds of chaos across the infinite worlds.
You and your brethren will carry my highest hopes."
"Seriously? You had powerful enemies, and you turned me into a bird? Why not make me human?" Adam shouted in his mind, frustration boiling within him. "And what's with all this killing and destruction? What a crazy thing to say to someone you've never met!"
A dark, amused chuckle resonated in his mind. "Oh, Abaddon, you will. And in time, you will come to love it."said the voice befor disappearing.
Just then, a gust of wind swept through, and two large brown hawks appeared, each clutching small fish in their beaks. Adam's brother began frantically begging for food, and soon the disgusting process of feeding commenced. A chill ran down Adam's spine as he looked up and saw the father hawk approaching him, a piece of fish dangling from its beak.
"No, wait—what are you doing? Noooooo..."
Before he could protest, the piece of fish was violently shoved into his mouth. It tasted incredible, but deep down, he felt a wave of disgust.

[Evolution System Initiated]
[River Carp Consumed]
[0.5 Evolution Points Gained]
[Unique system granted by the Creator: Its sole function is to assist the host in accelerating evolution and customizing it specifically. Evolution points can be acquired by consuming the flesh of other creatures. The higher the life force and the more advanced the prey, the more evolution points you will gain.]
Adam felt as if he were in a dream. He ate more, accumulating points, before eventually drifting off to sleep, hoping to awaken from this nightmare. Unfortunately, when he did wake, he felt the warmth of cuddling with his siblings beneath their father rather than waking up in the hospital bed.
"I guess this is my reality," he thought. "As long as I continue to evolve, I can become whatever I want the perfect being."

Looking at his stats, Adam felt a wave of frustration wash over him. After consuming all that food, he had only accumulated 6.4 evolution points. With five chicks in the nest, including himself, that meant a total of 32 points if they all received equal shares. But he knew that wouldn't be the case; he wasn't as active as his siblings.
If he was the only one left, he could aim for at least 32 points a day. Over two months, that would amount to 2,160 points. The thought of evolving to godhood directly after leaving the nest filled him with excitement. How amazing would that be?
looking at his sleeping brother and sisters adam felt a tinge of pity but he consolted himself they are just animals he is a human there is nothing wrong in that.so it was decided Adam will commit some kinslaying after his parents leave the nestÂ
Unfortunately, the winds don't always come as sailors wish, and his parents stayed for an entire week in the nest, taking shifts. By the eighth day, both finally left. Adam and his siblings had grown during that time, and he had accumulated 72 points in the week by becoming more active. However, he still had to contend with his siblings.
"Not after today, though. But first, I need to evolve. I'm not sure I can end my siblings and consume them quickly enough before my parents return."
"System, I want to evolve now."
[Host, you just need to think of it. If you have sufficient evolution points, you will evolve. The simpler the evolution, the shorter the time required, and vice versa.]
"Sharper talons and beak," Adam thought.
{The host has the minimal points needed for evolution, but due to the low amount, the upgrade will be relatively small.}
After that, a wave of drowsiness consumed him. When he opened his eyes again, he felt his talons and beak had become sharper—not by much, but enough to finish his prey faster.

Instinctively sensing danger, his siblings huddled together in a corner. Adam began slowly walking toward them, targeting the biggest one. With one sharp attack, he used his beak to penetrate the eye, killing it instantly. That was the least he could do...

Twenty minutes later, after consuming everything possible and ensuring nothing went to waste, his big brother netted him 150 points. His remaining siblings cowered in fear, and so the massacre began.
Thirty minutes later, only Adam and his little sister remained. She was the weakest and smallest, so he kept her for last. After staring at her foe for a while, he couldn't bring himself to do it and simply covered her with his wing.
"Twenty or so points a day is good enough," he thought. "I'll leave the nest in about twenty days, then I can evolve and hunt on my own."
Just then, the wind rustled, announcing his parents' return. They began looking around in distress. "Well, I'm going to sleep," he thought. "I wonder how much I'll gain from them later. I should get at least 800 points or so. We'll find out soon enough."
