"Alright tommy." She said. "But I need to go to the restroom first. When I am done, you can tell be what you need to tell me then we will leave." She continued.
Emma sighted the closest steward walking, "Hey sorry, do you know where the restroom is?" Emma asked the steward.
"Just head down that hallway, take a left turn, the last door on your left is a restroom." The steward pointed at the hallway.
"Thank you." Emma walked away from the steward and went towards the hallway.
Now he had to wait for Emma to come back but he knew it will not take too long so he did not mind. Nothing was going to change his mind from telling her how he really feels about her.
Emma just reached the hallway, the hallway was big and she was relieved that he asked for directions because if she did not, there was no way she would find the restroom.
For some reason, she became more uneasy about the place, she just wanted to use the restroom fast and leave, she wanted to go back to her normal life which is just work. Going to a party two times in one week was something she never thought would happen.
As she went through the hallway she saw Julian and his girlfriend and it seemed like they were having an argument.
"So this is the thing he had to do." Emma said to herself.
She did not have any business with what was going on with Julian and his girlfriend so she planned on avoiding them but she could not do that because to get to the restroom, she had to walk pass them.
She got closer and now she could hear some of the conversion they were having and it was really heating up.
"I am really sorry Julian, I was drunk at the party last night, and I didn't know what was happening?" Lila, Julian's Girlfriend said.
"So you are saying you cheated on me because you were drunk, how stupid can an excuse be. And the fact that I heard about it from my friend." Julian Sounded hurt.
"I know I shouldn't be giving an excuse and I know I should have told you about it first."
"You should have told me first? You shouldn't have done something like that to begin with." Julian said. "You know what, forget about all this, I done here." Julian went away from Lila and walked straight pass Emma.
Emma just stood where she was when Julian walked passed her, she was not sure if he saw her. His expression clearly showed that he was hurt and angry, but mostly hurt. She was surprised, because for someone like Julian, it would not be hard for him to find someone else.
But Emma did not think too much about it, it was none of her business. When Julian walked passed her, Lila immediately chased after him. The whole scene was weird for Emma, but she went on to the restroom.
She was close to the restroom, she could see it from where she was and she became glad.
At the moment she just wanted to leave the mansion, get home and rest. But then she started to perceive something, eventually she could tell it was smoke but she did not know where it was coming from.
The smell continued and she started to look around to know where it was coming from, but she not see anything. She decided to go back to the room where the party was happening to call one of the stewards.
As soon as she turned to head back, she saw smoke coming from underneath a room door.
She quickly went to the door, and on the other side of the door she heard coughing. There was someone inside the room so without hesitating she quickly grabbed the door knob and tried to open the door but it could not open, it was locked.
She started to wonder why the door was locked as she continued trying to open the door.
"Ouch." She said as she quickly removed her hand from the door knob.
The door knob was already hot and it burnt her hand a bit. She was not sure what to do so she started to think but only one thing came to her mind.
"Help! I need help here! Someone help!" She yelled for help.
She knew that if she went back to the party to call for help there would not be enough time to come back and save the person in the room so she yelled for help hoping someone would hear her.
No one came, she thought it was because this place was so big. Soon the door started to catch fire, she knew she had to think fast so she started to look around.
There was small door wedge on the floor, she quickly went to it and grab it. She rushed back to the door and used the wedge to hit the door knob, after a few hits the door knob broke and fell to the ground.
Then she used her leg to hit the door and it opened. As the door opened, smoke poured out and she started to cough, then she used her hand to cover her nose.
It was hard to see anything inside the room because the room was filled with smoke and no one was coming out of the room. She thought about it but not for long, so she rushed into the room.
The fire was already all over the room, it was hard to see and the smoke was much worse. She continued walking and then she saw someone, she walked slower to the person and to her surprise it was Gabriel, he was coughing a lot.
Gabriel saw her and immediately pointed at something, she looked at the direction he pointed at and she saw someone one the floor, it was Rachel and she was unconscious.
Without wasting anytime, Emma and Gabriel went to Rachel and lifted her up. They started to head towards to the exit of the room. Gabriel was already weak because he had inhaled a lot of smoke so he was slow.
They managed to leave the room. Emma slowly dropped Rachel on the floor while coughing. Then some people came to them, some of the stewards and guests.
"Someone should call an ambulance quickly." Emma said.
Tommy also came and he saw Emma with Gabriel and Rachel, he also saw the smoke and the room that was burning behind them.
"Are you okay?" Tommy went to Emma.
"Yeah I am, but they are not." She faced Gabriel and Rachel. "Someone needs to call the fire department and an ambulance."
"That is being done so don't worry, let us go outside." Tommy said.
