Chapter 31 - Feeling Guilty?

The next day, I woke up to find Master Fang Zheng gone. His bed was empty, and his usual tea set was untouched. I couldn't decide if that was a good thing or if I should be worried. He had been a little… off since yesterday, but I figured he'd snap out of it.

I went about my usual routine of pretending to study and not actually learning anything. The morning was slow, and I was starting to wonder if I was ever going to get a break from this nonsense.

Then, the door to the training hall slammed open. It was my classmate, looking like he had just run a marathon.

"Dude, you'll never guess what happened," he said, all out of breath.

I raised an eyebrow. "What? Did you finally figure out how to not get hit by rocks?"

Hurky shook his head dramatically. "No, no. Worse. Master Fang Zheng has gone insane. They've caught him pacing in the courtyard, screaming about 'the end of balance' or something."

"Wait, what?" I blinked. "He's gone full madman?"

Hurky nodded. "Yeah, he's been yelling about how the moon's gonna eat the sun and how balance is a lie and how he wants a hairy mommy. Seriously, it's all kinds of messed up. The whole sect's worried."

I chuckled. "Did i broke master?"

Hurky stared at me like I had just told him I could fly. "Master Fang Zheng's losing his mind because of you?"
