Fiona and Adrian walked toward the front of the campus, where Fiona's driver was waiting.
"Did you see that? Her eyes clearly couldn't lie!" Fiona giggled.
"What do you mean? I don't think Odel even cares," Adrian muttered.
"She obviously cares! I think she was jealous when I tried to get close to you! I'm sure of it!"
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"Does that mean I still have a chance?"
"Of course! Besides, they're cousins, so there's no way they'd get married!" Fiona replied, unaware that the three 'cousins' Odel mentioned were actually her fiancés.
Adrian only smiled faintly and waved as Fiona left when her driver arrived. He wondered if what Fiona said was true—did Odel really look jealous because of his actions? It felt strange, considering how fiercely she had protected those vampires from his sword.
