Sitting on a stone throne in a small cave in the middle of nowhere, a young man with golden eyes and black hair by the name of Lyric was looking at a glowing blue screen hovering before him.

Looking at the screen before him, Lyric couldn't help but find it funny. He had just died by being hit by a truck, and now he's in a random cave with a screen telling him he's now a Dungeon Lord!

"Hmm... this might be fun," Lyric mumbled to himself with a smile.

In his previous life, Lyric had been orphaned at a young age, but despite that bad start he had spent the rest of his time working his way up in life until eventually, he managed to get into college by earning scholarships,

But now... he was supposedly in what he assumed to be a fantasy world because he was now a Dungeon Lord...

Lyric wasn't exactly angry that he died though... sure he had put in a ton of work in his last life to make it big, but now that he had reincarnated in another world as a Dungeon Lord, he decided that he would just try to have fun.

Of course, others might say. 'Isn't that irresponsible?' or 'He just died, why is he so carefree?'

Towards thought like that, Lyric only had one answer.

"Why worry? I already died, so I'll just have fun with it this time."

After one last glance across the status page, Lyric clicked on the Generate Dungeon Mob button.

Lyric's eyebrows rose after seeing the options.

"So I can generate humans? That's cool, but... custom creation sounds cooler."

Laughing to himself, Lyric clicked on the Custom Creation button, and a new screen popped up.

As his eyes scanned all the options Lyric started to imagine what type of cool monsters he would be able to create for his dungeon.

'Hmm, it looks like I can choose any type of base monster and slightly modify it off that, but it's only the smaller monsters... I'm definitely not choosing something like Goblins, those things are always weird. I could choose something like wolves, but that sounds kinda basic..."

Sliding through all the options on the interface, Lyric stumbled upon the Golem option."

'Oh? It looks like Golems are more malleable in what I can make them look like.'

Lyric's eyes lit up as he started to mess with the golem's appearance on the interface.

'This thing kinda reminds me of my CAD class back in high school." Lyric mused

Messing with the appearance of the golem, he started to make it look like different animals, but quickly lost interest in most options until he settled on making them look like snakes.

Lyric designed the snake golems so that their appearance would be more armored instead of smooth and started smirking as he started to carve random symbols into the snake's armor thinking it would be fun to prank any Adventurers or Researchers in this world who stumbled into his dungeon.

Realizing that the symbols and armor made the snake golems look more archaic in design, Lyric thought it would look cool if he gave the snakes a bone-like helmet resembling a skull to complete the design.

Checking on the whole design of the golem snake with its skull exoskeleton along with random symbols on its scales, some coming from random languages like English, Latin, Greek, and Japanese... while others were just random symbols that Lyric thought fit with the vibe.

Finally satisfied, Lyric clicked on the complete button finalizing his creation.

Ding!

[Custom Mob had been finalized]

[Please name the new dungeon species!]

"Name the species, huh?' Lyric smirked.

Thinking back to his status page, Lyric had a fun idea.

"Let's name them the Vitalis Snake, I gotta leave my mark somewhere after all... Hahaha!"

While Lyric was laughing in joy at his new situation he felt a tug on his mind as three new snakes popped out of the wall of the cave.

With his designation as a Dungeon Lord, Lyric could now have a sense for all the laws dungeons follow, like how if a Dungeon Lord wanted they could mentally command any monster generated from the dungeon.

Lyric mentally commanded the nearest Vitalis Snake to come over to his throne, and the snake was seemingly happy to oblige.

'Let's see what you got in store you little snake.' Lyric thought as he scanned it.

Lyric was unsurprisingly elated with the little snake, even though it was just an Awakened monster, The lowest rank that a monster could be.

'My current limit for mob spawns is three, at least until I get some more Dungeon Points.' Lyric thought to himself

Having satisfied himself with how the Vitalis Snakes turned out he started to click on the other options available to him, like Generating his dungeon Boss.

Lyric sighed. 'No custom option this time? Too bad...'

As he thought about a name for his first dungeon Boss, Lyric's eyes lit up with mischief.

"Let's name him Viper," Lyric smirked. 'I would've gone with Snaky, but I probably would've regretted it later...'

[Generating Dungeon Boss: Viper...]

As Lyric was smirking at his own sense of humor he felt a shift in the dungeon as the cave entrance separated from the throne room, and right before his eyes, a giant door appeared alongside a giant snake.

Lyric gawked at the big snake before him before his face lit up with glee at its cool appearance as he scanned it.

'The Tier of the Dungeon Boss is always one tier higher than the mobs surrounding it' Lyric recalled as information about the dungeon flashed through his mind.

Sensing Lyric, the giant Vitalis Snake named Viper lowered its head to its master in acknowledgment.

Lyric studied the snake in curiosity, after all... he only designed the small snakes, not this big one.

He didn't notice any big changes to the design of the snake besides looking a lot more threatening and a few more random symbols had appeared on its skin.

Smiling to himself, Lyric stood up from the throne as he patted Viper on its head, and the giant snake seemed to vibrate in happiness

While patting the snake, Lyric looked at the final option: Dungeon Modification. All the options in here looked interesting to him, but in the end, he chose to make the theme of the dungeon 'Ancient Ruins' to fit in with his Vitalis Snakes.

Changing the settings, Lyric could both feel and see the dungeon changing in real-time as another smirk plastered itself on his face.

In a happy mood, Lyric turned back to the dungeon interface, after all, he still had to spend his dungeon points.
