Their eyes are sharp, and they are highly sensitive to danger, able to detect threats that others cannot see, and survive amidst peril.
Now, with the two snow sculptures completed, their condition appears even better than before.
The sculptures are unharmed, so the group releases them, allowing them to soar into the azure sky.
The sky is their domain, their sanctuary of freedom.
With spirits lifted, everyone reluctantly takes a rare day of rest.
Having been in a constant state of training, once they step away, they realize that unfamiliar plants have appeared in the estate.
"Allen, what is this plant? I don't think I've ever seen it before."
Nicole pointed at a plant that resembled a peacock's tail.
"And this one, it looks like a carnivorous plant, doesn't it?"
Before Zhao Lun could answer, they spotted another beautiful, unknown purple flower, which shot out a long tongue to swiftly consume a fly that approached.
"Could they pose a problem?"
A seductive flower suddenly unfurled a long tongue, creating an oddly discordant sensation.
"A problem? What kind of problem could there be?"
"Did you not notice? It's quite cool here."
As the temperature rose and the air became oppressive, the estate grew hotter, making the inhabitants uncomfortable. In response, Zhao Lun transplanted certain plants from the divine kingdom to help regulate the temperature.
After feeling the temperature, the effect is clear.
High temperatures breed countless pests, such as annoying flies, mosquitoes, and even rare parasites that crawl out of the ground and flock toward them.
The estate's inhabitants would often be attacked by insects, causing great discomfort.
These plants could resolve such issues.
The temperature in the estate is noticeably lower than outside, and insects like mosquitoes and flies that enter seem to mysteriously vanish. The plants, once modest and unremarkable, have now transformed into exquisite creatures of the night, their colors vibrant and alluring. Especially after consuming some insects, their allure intensifies, creating an eerie, almost supernatural ambiance.
Looking at these plants, Nicole and the others often feel uneasy, considering the potential dangers they might bring.
For instance, the plants could grow into carnivorous beasts, or perhaps invade and wreak havoc upon the surrounding environment.
"It's cool, yes, but won't there be a risk of plant invasion?"
The most serious form of plant invasion occurs when foreign plants, arriving in a land devoid of natural predators, spread uncontrollably, causing devastating damage to the native ecosystem.
If such an event were to occur here, it would create considerable trouble.
"Don't worry, these plants cannot spread beyond this estate. They will not invade other places."
Zhao Lun had certainly considered such scenarios, so there was no cause for concern. These plants were incapable of leaving the estate.
"Rest assured, these plants have been treated and will no longer spread on their own."
As an expert in floral magic, Flower Fairy had personally handled these plants, so there was no need to worry.
With the powers of the Flower Fairy and the constraints of the divine kingdom, the plants were doubly protected. Until the seals were lifted, they couldn't expand.
The divine kingdom itself was more beautiful than the estate.
Aya continued gathering flower nectar and, using the abundant nectar, extracted the essence of the flowers and stored it away, allowing time to work its magic and bring about miraculous changes.
The miraculous effect was the absorption of spring water's essence, akin to the legendary immortality elixir that could heal.
As Zhao Lun entered, the tiny creature immediately came rushing with her loyal fan, the unicorn, to report a complaint.
"Allen, those two monsters ruined Aya's flowers again!"
"They are so annoying!"
"Aya doesn't want to see them anymore!"
Seeing Zhao Lun, Aya immediately began complaining, accusing the two monsters of misbehaving and hoping Zhao Lun would expel them from here.
The two monsters were the captured mermen, whom Zhao Lun had moved here to avoid unnecessary trouble.
In the divine kingdom, their range of motion was extremely limited—only a mere two meters. Beyond that, they couldn't move at all. How could they possibly destroy flowers?
Zhao Lun was surprised, then, taking the two little creatures, he instantly appeared before the two mermen. Upon seeing the scene, he couldn't help but laugh.
"Is that so? I happen to know that one little creature planted the flowers right under their feet."
Zhao Lun was speechless. The little creature had mischievously planted the flowers right under their feet, leaving no space to avoid stepping on them. It was no surprise they had stepped on the plants.
The worst part was that, after stepping on them, they were complaining about it. This was just too much trouble for the mermen.
In the divine kingdom, the mermen were restricted to a fixed position and couldn't attack.
"Really? Aya only plants flowers and never plants them under their feet."
"Those monsters don't even have feet."
Zhao Lun: "…"
The two mermen were incredibly unattractive and utterly unappealing. In the end, Zhao Lun, considering the Flower Fairy's complaint, restricted them so they couldn't move, and suspended them in the newly opened air, to prevent the Flower Fairy from getting upset.
The Flower Fairy was a kind-hearted being. While she might say harsh words, she rarely did anything evil, unless deeply provoked.
The mermen, imprisoned in a narrow space, were a species that the kind-hearted Flower Fairy would typically avoid bothering. Yet, having been bothered by them, she had brought the issue to Zhao Lun. Clearly, the mermen were not liked by the Flower Fairy, and were part of the unappealing, evil faction.
Zhao Lun was not a pure paragon of justice, but he decided to suppress them simply out of consideration for the Flower Fairy.
The mermen's standing was far inferior to that of the Flower Fairy in Zhao Lun's heart.
Only then did Aya seem satisfied, and she ran off with her entourage to busy herself in the flowerbeds.
There were still many places in the divine kingdom awaiting her to scatter plant seeds, so she was very busy.
The Flower Fairy fluttered her delicate wings, and with each movement, multicolored light emanated, signaling the planting of new seeds.
With the divine kingdom expanding rapidly, she soon became overwhelmed, unable to keep up with the task, and eventually collapsed onto the unicorn, allowing it to carry her.
Zhao Lun, moved by her exhaustion, contemplated for a moment, then had an idea. With a wave of his hand, countless plant seeds levitated into the air and were swiftly scattered across the newly expanded lands.
Satisfied, he nodded, then waved his hand again. A mist quickly condensed into layers of clouds, which he controlled, transforming them into rain.
Drip, drip!
One drop, then two… soon a full rainstorm began, artificial yet effective.
With a gust of wind, the raindrops were blown in every direction, nurturing every corner of the divine kingdom.
The land, parched and dry, was desperately in need of more water. The stream was simply insufficient to hydrate all areas. But now, this sudden downpour awakened something in the divine kingdom, causing the entire realm to tremble.
Zhao Lun, still controlling the wind, froze in realization.
