Chapter 8 - Terrified scream

Okay, he just said a dragon was here right? Or maybe I'm hearing things. A real dragon lives here, and we are passing through its forest? Who doesn't know that dragons are extremely territorial creatures? Well, fuck it. If I die here then so be it.

"No turning back now" I said.

I decided to just dash through the forest without stopping. Maybe it would see through my will not to offend it and let me live. Other people had started to enter the portal and immediately they saw the scenery, the would all puke.

I took a glance at them before saying "If you wish to live, do not engage in any battle no matter the scale." As I said that I erupted in my silver blue flames and soared through the air.

As I flew, I glanced down to see a river of blood flowing into a dark ominous cave that was quite large. "It's there. The presence is strongest there" frost said.

"Do you think we should pay it a visit? Who knows you might be buddies." I joked.

"Oh... Sure. Let's go"frost said

"What? I was joking. We can't possibly intrude on its privacy." I said nervously

"Don't you want to try to tame it?" Hearing that, my eyes started to shine. Tame a dragon? Who doesn't want that?

"Are you seriously going to listen to this idiot's babble? Dragons are insanely prideful creatures. Do you think they would be willing to enter into a contract with a child?" Amelia poured cold water on my thoughts.

"You know what, I'm doing this." Frost said as he took control of my body.

As the hair on my right side shed it's black color and transcended into silver, He diverted my body and flew into the cave.

The entire cave was pitch black, the only source ofr light was my silver flames as they flickered in the darkness. As we flew, I noticed the river of blood that was still flowing up till that point had stopped and we had reached dry land. As we landed, the first thing that entered my field of view was a very large blue egg that was settled in a nest. As I approached the egg, I suddenly felt a piercing gaze. As my blood ran cold, I slowly lifted my head to face the abyssal darkness. And then I saw it. Two large red eyes gazing into my very soul.

As everyone else were scrambling through the forest, a terrified scream rang out.
