024 STAY HERE AND WATCH
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Kasshyek stormed into the room, his eyes wide with concern.
"What's going on in here? Is there an assassin here?" he demanded, only to freeze when he saw Leo sprawled on the bed, half-dressed, his lower half exposed.
Kasshyek immediately averted his gaze, turning to the side in embarrassment.
"Must you always be half-naked when I come to check on you?"
Leo groaned, pulling up his pants. "I was about to ask the same. Why do you always have to barge in at the worst fucking time?"
"I heard a noise—like an explosion," Kasshyek explained, still looking away. "So, I rushed in. Are you hurt?"
"You were standing outside my room this whole time?" Leo asked, raising an eyebrow.
Kasshyek nodded. "It's my duty to protect you."
Leo sighed, frustrated but also relieved. "Well, I should've cried out for help earlier. I was this close to getting killed."
Kasshyek turned back, his concern deepening. "What happened here? Where's the courtesan?"
Leo smirked, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"She vanished. I didn't even have a chance to fuck her properly. I am definitely not going to pay full price."
Despite the horror that befell her, when Emerald left, not a single blood of hers remained. They were all taken as sacrifices by the insatiable thirst of the Devil. There were no traces of her in the room at all except her tattered clothing.
Kasshyek shot him an annoyed glance. "You know, ever since you came back, everything about you has been fine—except for your unbelievably foul mouth."
Leo laughed. "Fair point but the foulness about me lies not just in my bloody mouth."
"Where is that mysterious teacher— Dassa? The one you said would help you improve your magic. That was the whole point of coming to this place, right?" he asked.
Kasshyek and Leo's father thought the reason Leo came to the brothel was to look for his hidden teacher, Dassa, the one who awakened his magic.
Leo chuckled. "Is that what you thought? Did I tell you that? Well, you're not entirely wrong. I did achieve a breakthrough."
Kasshyek blinked, stunned. "You had a magic breakthrough? When? In this damn room?"
Leo grinned, "I already did."
Kasshyek rolled his eyes, exasperated.
"Ahh..Humbug"
"Is there an issue here, Master Lilleo? Something I can fix for you?" Madam Make-me-Money asked, her voice sharp as she entered the room, her gaze sweeping over Leo.
"And where's Emerald?"
Leo's eyes narrowed as he responded coolly, "That girl ran off. You'll need to compensate me."
The Madam stiffened, visibly unsettled.
Her eyes darted around, searching for any sign of Emerald, but there was none. Panic flickered across her face, though she quickly masked it. She'd had girls fleeing the brothel before, but this one had vanished without a trace, even evading the guards.
"I apologize, Master Lilleo," she said, her tone becoming more servile.
"It's not uncommon for girls to run, though it's rare they get far. I'll make it up to you with a replacement. Who would you prefer?"
Leo reclined lazily on the bed, a sinister smirk curling on his lips. "Hmmm… I'll need three of your best girls. Anything less, and I'll see to it your establishment is torn apart."
Madam Make-me-Money flinched at his threat, her breath catching as she glanced at Kasshyek, who stood by in silent confusion.
"Yes, of course," she stammered, quickly signaling her attendants.
Moments later, three of the most stunning courtesans in her house entered, their eyes downcast as they awaited Leo's command.
Kasshyek, unsettled by the sudden shift in Leo's demeanor, leaned in and whispered, "Isn't it time to head back? It's been long enough."
Leo's gaze flickered toward him, an unsettling darkness in his eyes. "I haven't even started," he replied, his voice low and dangerous.
He motioned for the girls to join him, their hesitant steps betraying their unease.
Kasshyek took a step back, turning toward the door. "Damnit, I'll wait outside."
"No." Leo's voice cut through the air like a blade. "You stay here and fucking watch."
Kasshyek froze, shocked by the sudden authority in Leo's tone.
This wasn't a casual request. It was a command.
The weight of it struck Kasshyek, reminiscent of the way the head of the family would issue orders to his soldiers. For a moment, he wondered what had changed in Leo—what had twisted the young heir into something darker, more domineering.
"Now, all of you beauties, serve," Leo commanded, his voice smooth yet authoritative.
Kasshyek stood silently behind him, observing as the courtesans filled goblets with wine for the young heir of the Gullee family and fed him exotic fruits on the platter but there wasn't any extra services other than that though.
"Shall we undress you for comfort", one of the courtesans asked Leo.
"I have enough Lust for the night. I guess I can't take it in anymore", he replied.
"Erm... when are we heading home?" Kasshyek asked, breaking the silence after a night of indulgence.
"We're not going home tonight. We have somewhere to be tomorrow," Leo replied casually.
"Damn it, you should've mentioned that earlier. I've got a whole squadron to replace on short notice," Kasshyek grumbled.
"Tell your soldiers to stand down. You too, Kasshyek. Thanks for keeping me company today," Leo said with a dismissive wave.
"Where are you going tomorrow?" Kasshyek pressed, curiosity piqued.
"I'll tell you tomorrow," Leo answered, a sly smile creeping across his face.
"You can still go home, it's early," Kasshyek protested.
"No," Leo shook his head. "There are too many spies lurking around my bedchamber. I won't get anything done."
"Right... wait," Kasshyek paused, his eyes narrowing. "So, this whole trip to the cathouse was just a cover so no one would know where you're heading tomorrow?"
Leo was about to make an excuse to fend off Kasshyek's nagging. Seems like Kasshyek made the excuse for him.
Leo pointed at him with a playful grin, shaping his fingers like a gun. "Bingo," he said, pretending to shoot.
