Aksel was the first to cross the threshold to the underworld, proceeding into the mouth of the earth that held a portal to the other realm.
It seemed from the outside as onlookers would assume to be a normal cave. One would probably stay away in case a beast were hybernating but as they went deeper it was obvious that the cave reverberated with power.
Aksel was not afraid; he had his beast to back him up. Luz let go of the reigns for a bit as soon as they entered the cave, reverting him back to his human self and causing him to shiver with the slight damp, cold air that came from beneath.
