"Welcome, brave children, to another world."
A woman's voice spoke through the light, or from the light, none of the class could tell.
"You all must be very confused, allow me to explain"
It was the usual, a class full of young inspiring teenagers zapped into a completely different world.
She was the Goddess, the children are her warriors against the Demon King.
A world full of magic and overused tropes to entertain these hormone filled nightmares that call themselves 'students' for however long they wished.
Upon hearing this, a young man pushed up his glasses and asked
"Are we going to have special powers? Do we have S rank talents or divine realms? Do we-"
"Something like that, no and no.-" the Goddess moved on quickly " -Some of you might be wondering 'why us' or 'why summon at all?'"
She was wrong, nobody cared about the 'why' or the 'how'.
The only statement ringing in their heads, all of them, down to the exact words was "No finals!"
So you could say the transition from one world to another was easier than expected for the Goddess this time around.
Nobody had even cared to ask 'where' they were.
It was a room of pure light, enough to see, not enough to blind. there exist no shadows in the Goddess's grace.
She granted them access to their "Inner strength" and sent them on their merry way.
No questions, no important questions.
No questions on the morality of using children against the Demon King.
You would think someone would bring that up, especially children, they are usually known for asking questions.
But there had been no questions on the ethics or process of grabbing an entire class of people and throwing them off their planet.
I mean, how would that even work? 31 people go missing, all from the same class and nobody bats an eye?
And what happens when they 'win' if they even do that at all? Do they get sent back?
Years of fighting this 'Demon King' and they are supposed to just tell their parents that?
Does nobody think about the repercussions of this very backwards plan?
Or was it not out of stupidity, but purposefully designed this way. Designed exactly so nobody would ask questions.
Think about it, a class full of kids who all watch or read media containing these concepts of other worlds.
Why would they question what they already know?
Is it really a coincidence, or a heinous plan put into motion?
But the class didn't bother themselves with unfounded suspicion, they were concerned with the forest they landed up in.
Cool and wet grass, the morning sky is still in the wee hours.
You would expect a guide, or a different setting. One more welcoming for 'brave children'.
But there was nobody who would even care to explain where these poor kids landed up.
"I can't believe this is happening" is a sentence straight out of a horror movie, but today it served a different purpose.
"I know right, this is just like 'Immortal bloodsucking husband' am I right?"
And the girls geeked out over their favourite shows and books for a bit, getting distracted from the situation.
Nobody was taking this seriously, nobody had realized yet.
Tyson figured use they could be standing there for days if nobody took charge.
He sucked in air to puff up his chest, walked a few feet from the group and called out.
"Alright everyone, listen up!"
It takes a while, these things, teenagers don't listen to the orders of another teenager.
In fact that might offend them, to be fair, a lot of things offend them.
Realising this wasn't going to work, Tyson took a moment to look at his surroundings.
They were in the woods, that was obvious.
But something felt weird, they spawned into a perfect clearing of some radius distance from the trees.
And the group spawned into a formation that looked like a circle, it's circumference equidistant from its center and the trees.
Was this planned? He thought, surely the goddess won't dump them into nowhere on purpose? Right?
And what of the 'special powers' they would recieve? What happened to those?
Tyson stuck out his hand and yelled
"Rasengan!" It did nothing.
The breeze gently floated around and past him. No spinning ball.
It was at this moment where the class turned their heads, you see, teenagers always care when something embarrassing happens.
"Can anyone feel it? Magic? Anything?" Tyson called out, he put his hand down once he noticed their gaze.
The panic started to settle in, a Isekai adventure with no powers? How preposterous!
And at the peak of confusion, loud thuds could be heard from the forest. From the direction Tyson moved out in.
If the time to unlock the so called "Inner strength" was at anytime, then it should be now.
The boys and girls felt a presence, the thuds louder now. They could feel the ground shake with every 'step'
"Dude, somethings coming!" "Other than your mother?" And one of the girls slapped that boy.
This was no joking matter, they were in real deep shit now.
"Tyson get outta there! That thing is coming your way!" A concerned friend called out.
But Tysons feet were firmly planted.
Whatevers coming will obviously be my inciting incident! I'll awaken time stop or some shit and one-shot that thing!
Delusion...
His eyebrows furrowed and he put on his best "MC face" that those watercolour illustrations have.
Now it was visible, the beast, trees fell down as the giant made its way to the children.
A giant bear, grizzly, the size of the trees but much, much wider. It's mouth could fit two Tysons at a time.
The bear stood on two legs, maybe it would fall if it walked on four, maybe it would fly if it walked on one.
"TYSON! RUN!" The entire class yelled as they ran in the opposite direction, atleast now they were rational.
This is it, no backing out now!
The bear raised its paw high, Tyson trembled, but he quickly steeled himself for his awakening.
I can feel it, I can definitely feel it, surely, any moment now!
But that moment never came.
Mike turned away from the running group, he needed to save his dumbass friend.
Why didn't Tyson listen? All he had to do was turn tail and bolt.
Now his good friend Mike had to watch his headless body drop to the ground.
Blood, so much blood..
"TYSOOON!" The boy cried out, but the recipient had no head to hear nor reply.
