I was prepared for another annoying and cringe day. The whole idea of school felt annoying for me. Well, that's for me. Because I'm not that kind of social girl. The bad boys and queen bees seem to like it, BUT NOT ME!
I walked through the halls with shallow confidence, I was only acting like I was bold to avoid some certain kind of people at school. However, I couldn't help but feel awkward when I noticed that almost everyone was looking at me. "Hey, over here", I heard. I couldn't see the person calling out to me, but her voice was familiar. With everybody's eyes still glued to me, she grabs my hand and pulls me towards the convenience where we could be out of sight. It was my best friend, Star. Saving me from a storm again, though this time I couldn't tell why everyone was staring at me. I had to start up a conversation and get some answers.
"Hey Star". "Yeah hi, something really weird is happening to you" she responds. "What's going on, I need to know" I say in anxiety. "There's a blueish glowy butterfly sign on your right hand". After hearing that, I wanted to walk out because I thought Star was joking with me again. That's until I saw my hand in the mirror. It was completely true, I could see it with my own two eyes. That's probably what everyone was looking at! I started feeling more self conscious and more stupid. My only happiness was that my bestie was there to support me. She's literally the only person I trust. We have our own history together. Just the way my hair glows she also has a very special ability. But never mind that, what does the butterfly sign mean?
