Chapter 6 - Mission on board

The towering building of **Duterte Group Company** stood as a beacon of power in the city, its glass facade reflecting the bustling streets below. Inside, the atmosphere was electric, with powerful businessmen from various sectors gathered for an exclusive meeting. It was the perfect cover for Sarah Fortex's mission.

Dressed in a sleek office outfit, Sarah blended seamlessly with the employees bustling around the building. Her sharp eyes scanned the lobby, taking in every detail as she walked toward the elevators. She carried a slim black briefcase, its contents carefully selected for the task ahead.

Once inside the elevator, Sarah pressed the button for the top floor, her expression calm and composed. The elevator ride was smooth, the soft hum of machinery barely audible. As the doors opened, she stepped into the hallway, her heels clicking softly against the marble floor.

Sarah made her way to the restroom, entering the empty space and locking the door behind her. She placed the briefcase on the counter, opening it to reveal her gear. With practiced efficiency, she shed her office attire and slipped into a full black suit, designed for stealth and agility. She pulled on her mask, its fierce eagle and tiger design a symbol of her lethal prowess.

Her voice was steady as she activated her earpiece. "Status report."

Her assistant's voice crackled through. "CCTV is hacked, all footage is erased. Philip Dale Carter is in the conference room. He's wearing a blue tuxedo, and he has a small star and snake tattoo on his hand."

"Perfect," Sarah replied, securing her gloves. She retrieved a grappling hook from her briefcase and aimed for the coffered ceiling. With a sharp jerk, she pulled herself up, the ceiling panel giving way as she slipped into the space above.

Crawling through the ducts, Sarah moved with the precision of a predator. She found a vantage point near the conference room, her eyes narrowing as she spotted Carter through the grate. The room was filled with influential figures, all engaged in discussions, oblivious to the death that loomed above them.

Sarah retrieved her **Barrett M107**, assembling it with swift, silent movements. She positioned herself, taking aim at Carter's head. Her breathing slowed, her heartbeat steady. The room below was a scene of power, but in moments, it would be chaos.

With a sharp exhale, Sarah pulled the trigger.

The silenced shot pierced the air, and Carter's head snapped back, blood splattering the pristine walls behind him. Panic erupted in the room, businessmen scrambling, their faces pale with terror. Sarah adjusted her aim and fired a second shot, ensuring Carter's demise.

The once-controlled atmosphere was now thick with fear, the scent of blood overwhelming. Sarah smirked beneath her mask, her mission accomplished. She dismantled her rifle, slipping back into the shadows as the chaos unfolded below.

Silently, Sarah navigated back through the ducts and descended into the same female restroom where she had started. She calmly changed back into her office outfit, smoothing her blouse and pants. Taking a deep breath, she unlocked the door and stepped out, blending into the panicked crowd that was now spilling into the hallways.

She moved quickly, her expression mirroring the panic around her. "What happened?" she asked a fellow employee, feigning confusion. The man shook his head, too shaken to reply, and Sarah took this as her cue to slip away unnoticed.

Outside, she made her way to her car, the cool night air filling her lungs as she started the engine. Her phone buzzed, and she answered, recognizing the number immediately.

"You're really the daughter of Queen Fenn," Auto Dane Lim's voice was filled with a mix of pride and admiration. "Bold and smart, another accomplished mission, sweetheart."

Sarah allowed herself a small smile. "Thank you, Lolo Auto. Mission accomplished."
