Mark and Carl stood at the edge of the volcanic group, in front of them was a rugged terrain made up of volcanoes. Thick smoke was spewing from the crater, and magma was rolling inside the volcano, making a low roar. The air here was filled with the smell of sulfur, and the heat wave was blowing in the face, forming a sharp contrast with the coldness of the ice field.
"The atmosphere here is not right." Carl whispered. Most of the volcanoes in the Arctic Circle are extinct volcanoes, while this volcanic group is all active volcanoes. His eyes swept through the volcanic group, observing the surrounding environment vigilantly. "The people of the Rebirth Organization should have made some arrangements here to cause the volcano to revive again."
Mark nodded, he held the ice sword in his hand tightly, feeling the power contained in the sword. "We have to be careful and can't let them find us."
The two began to move cautiously into the volcanic group. They passed through a piece of volcanic ash-covered area and avoided a piece of cracked ground, where the magma was looming, as if it would erupt at any time.

After several hours of arduous trekking, they finally approached the volcano. They hid behind a boulder and watched the entrance of the base. Several people in black uniforms patrolled the entrance, holding weapons in their hands and watching the surroundings vigilantly.
Mark and Carl knew that they couldn't force their way in, and they had to find a way to sneak into the base. They began to look for possible entrances or weaknesses around the base. On the other side of the volcano, they found a small vent where the guards were relatively lax.

It had sharp horns on its head, and its eyes were flashing green. Its limbs were tightly bound by metal chains, and the other end of the chain was connected to a complex machine that was extracting some kind of energy from the Ice Abyss Beast's body.
"That's the power of the second energy stone fragment." Carl's voice was a little shocked. "It seems that the Rebirth Organization not only has the energy stone fragments, but they are also trying to control the Ice Abyss Beast."
