Chapter 7 - 7. Who he is really?

Cindy woke up to the soft light streaming through her window. She stretched her arms and smiled, thinking about the previous day. It was the first time she had seen Mech's face. He had always worn a jester's mask, hiding his true self, but yesterday, he had shown her his handsome smile. In the kingdom, people often laughed at his silly antics, but to her, he was the most handsome man on Earth. His bright red eyes sparkled with mischief, and she could not stop thinking about him.

As she got out of bed, her heart raced. Could it be true? Did Mech really feel something for her? He had told her that he would show his face only to someone special, someone he loved. The thought of that made her cheeks warm. She had hoped for this moment, but now, she felt nervous about what to say next.

After some time, Cindy decided she had to see him again, to ask him if he would spend more time with her. She quickly dressed in a beautiful blue gown that complimented her long golden hair. With a deep breath, she hurried out of her room, through the castle halls, and into the courtyard where she often found Mech performing.

When she arrived, the sun was shining brightly, and the laughter of children echoed in the air. There he was, Mech, juggling colorful balls and flipping around to entertain the crowd. She watched him, mesmerized by his playful grace. As he finished his act, he noticed her standing there and grinned widely.

"Hey, Cindy!" he exclaimed, tossing his juggling balls into the air and catching them effortlessly. "What brings you here?"

Cindy felt butterflies in her stomach. "I was wondering if… if you would like to go somewhere with me," she stuttered, feeling slightly shy.

Mech raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Where to?"

"How about the gym?" she suggested. "I want to see you train."

"Sure!" he said, his voice cheerful. "I would love to!"

Cindy's heart raced faster as they walked side by side to the gym. She tried to catch glimpses of him. He still wore his jester suit, a mix of bright colors with playful patterns. But she couldn't help but wonder: what did he look like without it? Was he super fat, super skinny, or maybe even something strange like an alien? Her mind was filled with questions as they entered the gym.

The gym was bustling with activity. People were lifting weights, running on treadmills, and practicing martial arts. Cindy looked around and felt a surge of energy. She had always enjoyed being active, and now, she was excited to train with Mech.

As they began their workout, Cindy couldn't shake her curiosity. "Mech, why don't you change into something else?" she asked. "Aren't you hot in that suit?"

He laughed. "I wear this because it's who I am! Besides, this suit is very comfy!"

Cindy sighed, feeling a little disappointed. She wanted to see the body behind the jester, but decided to let it go for now. They trained together—doing push-ups, sit-ups, and practicing archery. She admired how strong and energetic he was, even in his colorful suit.

But deep down, she still felt a little sad. "I just wish I knew what you looked like" she said while catching her breath. "It's hard knowing someone so close but still being in the dark about your identity."

Mech paused and looked at her with sincerity in his eyes. "I know you are curious, Cindy. But let's focus on having fun right now."

Cindy nodded, pushing her disappointment aside as they continued working out. They laughed and teased each other, turning the training session into a playful game. After a while, as they sat down to rest, Mech looked at her with a big smile.

"I have something to tell you," he said. "I know you want to see my body type. I can't show it to you right now, but I have an idea! How about we go to a water park next Friday? You will see a lot more of me there!"

Her eyes widened, and a gleeful smile spread across her face. "Really? That sounds amazing!"

"Absolutely! I promise you will have a blast," he said, his enthusiasm matching hers.

Overjoyed, Cindy leaned over and gave Mech a quick kiss on the cheek. The moment felt electric. Her heart fluttered as she pulled back, her cheeks glowing with happiness. "Thank you, I can't wait!"

She felt like she was flying. The thought of the water park and spending more time with Mech filled her with joy. As they walked back to the castle, she kept thinking about their plan. She couldn't wait to learn more about him, to uncover the mystery behind his colorful jester suit.
