# Chapter 29: Book of Misunderstanding
In the grand library of the Wang mansion, the atmosphere was quiet, save for the soft rustle of pages turning. Wang Wei sat comfortably in a plush chair, engrossed in a book that he had hoped would remain a secret.
"Young master, what are you reading?" Bao asked, stretching his neck to peek at the pages.
"What?" Wang Wei replied, instinctively hiding the book from him.
"Young master, what are you hiding?" Bao pressed, his curiosity piqued as he stood on his toes, trying to get a better look.
"Isn't that an erotic book? Oh, young master, you…" Bao began, a teasing smile spreading across his face. But before he could finish, Wang Wei cut in sharply.
"What?" he said, turning his back to him.
Just then, Bao, unable to resist, moved closer and tugged at the book. Wang Wei's heart raced as he noticed Princess Hua entering the library. He coughed discreetly, signaling Bao to stop, and quickly dropped the book to the floor, grabbing another one to feign interest.
Princess Hua bowed gracefully as she approached Wang Wei. "I heard you left the mansion?" Wang wei inquired.
"Yes, the majesty summoned me to the palace," she replied, her tone casual. Wang Wei didn't press for more details, sensing the weight of her words.
"Are you reading?" Princess Hua asked, glancing at the book in his hands.
"Yes, I am," Wang Wei replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Why is the book you are reading upside down?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Wang Wei quickly flipped the book right side up, his cheeks slightly flushed. Princess Hua stepped closer, her gaze falling on the book that lay discarded on the floor. With a swift motion, she picked it up, and both Wang Wei and Bao exchanged shocked glances.
As Princess Hua opened the book, an image of a woman without clothes and a man in a compromising position greeted her. "Hmm," Wang Wei sighed, feeling the heat rise in his face.
"Are you reading this? I never knew I was just a wife who isn't caring for her husband," Princess Hua said, feigning a dramatic cry.
"No, it's not mine; it's for Bao," Wang Wei quickly defended himself.
"Young master, that's not mine; it's yours," Bao chimed in, his eyes wide with panic.
Wang Wei shot him a look. "I saw it with Bao, and I never knew he read that kind of book," he said, trying to shift the blame.
Princess Hua turned her gaze to Bao. "Your highness, that isn't mine," Bao insisted, pointing slowly at Wang Wei, who was now sweating under the pressure.
"Maybe one of the guards mistakenly dropped it in the library," Wang Wei suggested, desperate to defuse the situation.
"Since this isn't for young master and Bao, how about I ask all the guards?" Princess Hua said, turning to leave.
"No!" both Bao and Wang Wei shouted in unison. Wang Wei cleared his throat. "Is there anything else to say?" he asked, trying to regain composure.
"This is the general mansion; I will sort everything out with the guards. Just hand it over," Wang Wei insisted, his eyes serious.
Princess Hua noticed the gravity in his tone. "Okay," she said reluctantly, handing the book back to him.
"Bao, assemble all the guards," Wang Wei commanded.
"No need for that; I'm here for something else," Princess Hua interjected, her expression shifting.
"Can we sleep together tonight?" she asked, her voice soft yet direct.
The question caught both Wang Wei and Bao off guard, causing them to cough in unison. "Princess, I'm too weak. I never thought of consummating the wedding with you. I'm not worthy of that because we have less than six months to go," Wang Wei stammered, trying to maintain his dignity.
"No, no. I don't mean that," Princess Hua clarified, using her hands to demonstrate. "I just want us to sleep together."
"Princess, I have been sleeping with you for the past three nights. Why bring that up now?" Wang Wei asked, genuinely confused.
"I prepared you a bedroom feast. I just want us to be romantic. Let's forget the six-month contract for a moment. Don't you want to enjoy your life?" Princess Hua urged, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Enjoy life? Do you still insist on that?" Wang Wei questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"No, I mean enjoy your life with wine brewed by the head chef of the palace," she replied, her smile infectious.
"Okay, since the princess says that, let it be like that," Wang Wei conceded, a hint of a smile breaking through his earlier tension.
"I will be expecting you," Princess Hua said, turning to leave with a bright smile on her face.
"Young master, what's wrong with the princess today? Is she planning something?" Bao asked, his brow furrowed in concern.
"We will see until then," Wang Wei replied, tossing the book at Bao with a mix of frustration and amusement.
"I will make you all like me in this mansion. I will do everything to get the secret door manuel."
