Chapter 37
Justina
The confrontation with Nora left me shaken. I had spent my a very good number of my time life believing her lies, trusting her as a mother figure, only to find out she had been hiding the truth from me all along. But what unsettled me the most wasn't just the lies. it was the way she had refused to explain herself. The way she had looked at me, as if I wasn't ready to know what she had done.
That only made me more determined. I only got to wonder what was so grievous that she was keeping this one close to her chest. It was surreal and frustrating at the same time. When I wanted answers and demanded, I expected to get them. If it was something as flimsy i wouldn't have bothered but it was my life we were talking about here.
I needed answers, and if Nora wasn't going to give them to me, I would find them myself.
