" Too much effort " Hinata said still looking in the water.
" This is no time for complaining " Masayoshi said as he turned to him.
" Look at the training regimen they used!" He said.
" They swam long distances in the ocean, from one deserted island to the next. Don't you think this is perfect for building stamina?" He asked almost shoving the book in everyone's eyes.
" The ocean" Hinata murmured looking worriedly, and Asahi wondered why.
" We should participate in the same training regimen that our storage swim club used!" Masayoshi continued.
" Our swim club was storied?" Riku asked tilting his head a little
" Yep, look what I found."
" Sixth place in the Hiryu High Junior tournament" Fuji read aloud.
" Weak" Kiota and Riku said together.
" Anyway! Right now, the Hiryu High Swim Club needs stamina! And summer is the perfect time to hold a training camp! In the ocean! On deserted island!" Masayoshi said
" Don't you think is being a little bit excited?" Takahara asked Asahi who was still focused on Hinata playing with water.
" That's no little excitement." He replied.
" Wait I don't see how deserted islands are relevant here." Haruki said.
" What are you even doing here?" Masayoshi said and Takahara glared at him. He understood and carried on with his business.
" It's more exciting when you add deserted islands." Riku said
" I know, right? That's why we should hold a training camp!" Masayoshi said winking and the blonde. Riku felt his heart skip a beat.
" Your decision, captain?" He said finally looking at Asahi.
" I guess it's a good idea to hold a training camp to prepare for the prefecturals." He said still worried about Hinata.
" Hurray! It's settled then" Riku said happily.
Hinata still sat there, his hand fiddling with the water as he stared at his reflection. Asahi wished Hinata would open up more to him.
The coach gave them permission. He was just their coach in name after all. He only needed to be present during their match.
The second and third years took it in their selves to prepare any necessary requirements that would be needed.
Honestly Hinata wasn't at all interested in anything and everything but surprisingly no one complained about it.
THE NEXT MORNING.
They all stared confusedly at the old ship before them
" So how exactly did we get here, and what are we doing here?" Takahara said, tired of Masayoshi's mischiefs.
" Well we'll be needing a boat to take us to our destination and I think this old guy will do the trick." Masayoshi replied tapping the boat slightly. " Coach will be lending us and taking us."
They all got into the boat and departed with burning energy.
After a few hours they got to their destination and settled in the cottage they booked.
" Are you okay, Kōji?" Kaito asked the seasick guy.
" I'm okay....I ..I need to go to the bathroom" he said and ran off.
The coach left after a while promising to come pick them up on their last day.
" Guys! Come over here!" Kōji called suddenly. And they went over , except for Hinata who was in the room.
" Why is Hosukei's swim team here?" Kaito asked no one in particular.
" Did you do something Masayoshi?" Takahara asked
" Huh? I didn't know anything this time." He retorted.
" So it's just a coincidence," Riku said trying to lift the heavy air.
" We should go say hello then," Itsuki chipped in.
" Don't" Takahara said
" Huh, why not?" Riku asked but was cut off by Asahi.
" Where's Hinata?" He asked.
" He stayed back," Arata , a rather shy boy, said.
"Now let's begin boys" Masayoshi said, clapping his hands together and they all came together.
He gave the map to Asahi and Asahi began, "if you look at the map, you'll see that there are a number of smaller islands in the area".
" Deserted island!" Riku said enthusiastically.
" What is it with you and deserted islands?" Kaito said, tired of hearing the same phrase continually and Riku pouted.
" Leave him be," Masayoshi said coldly, and Kaito flinched.
" We'll be swimming between Sukishima, Oshima, and Mizushima for our training" Asahi continued pointing to three different islands about one kilometre away from each other.
" We're looking at four kilometres at swimming and one kilometre of the nning each circuit. Our goal is to complete three circuits on the first day" he said giving no roo for arguments.
" That sounds hard. Arata, will you be okay?" Riku asked with concern.
Arata has been having trouble lately and not able to catch up with the rest of the team.
" Arata is a beginner, so we have a different regimen for him." Masayoshi said
Just as they were about to start swimming, Hinata stood by the shore for a while staring into space. Asahi looked at him worriedly. No matter how much he protruded him, Hinata won't tell him anything.
After three hours they were done with only half of the training. That was how hard it was. It was from hell after all.
" This is hard, we could only complete half of the training," Riku whined.
" Well it's only the first day, " Masayoshi said and ruffled Riku's hair.
