Chapter 5 - The Heavenly Competition

The heavenly realm was abuzz with excitement as the day of the grand competition arrived. The heavenly emperor, Tian ji, resplendent in his golden robes, stood on the dais, surveying the sea of students gathered before him.

"My dear students," he began, his voice booming across the hall. "Today, you will compete in a test of your skills and abilities. You will be divided into groups of two, and the group that accumulates the most points will be declared the winner."

The students cheered and applauded, eager to begin the competition.

But amidst the throng of students, two figures stood out. Xiao Ming and Da Ming, Jiǎo Lóng's trusted men, had infiltrated the competition, disguising themselves as students.

Their mission was to find the Sceptre of Light and the Crystal of Heaven, two powerful artifacts that were said to be hidden somewhere in the heavenly realm. These artifacts were the key to awakening Jiǎo Lóng's true powers, and Xiao Ming and Da Ming were determined to find them.

As the competition began, Xiao Ming and Da Ming blended in seamlessly with the other students, their eyes scanning the crowds for any sign of the artifacts.

Meanwhile, the students were busy competing in various challenges, from magical duels to puzzles and riddles. The competition was fierce, with each group determined to emerge victorious.

But Xiao Ming and Da Ming were not interested in winning the competition. Their sole focus was on finding the Sceptre of Light and the Crystal of Heaven, and they would stop at nothing to achieve their goal.

As the day wore on, the competition heated up, with the students facing off in an epic magical battle. Xiao Ming and Da Ming watched from the sidelines, their eyes fixed on the heavenly emperor, who was watching the battle with a keen eye.

Suddenly, Xiao Ming's eyes narrowed. He had spotted something - a faint glow emanating from the heavenly emperor's throne room.

"Da Ming," he whispered, his voice urgent. "I think I've found it. The Sceptre of Light is hidden in the throne room."

Da Ming's eyes lit up with excitement. "Let's go," he whispered back.

After there, the two demons slipped away, determined to find the Sceptre of Light and bring Jiǎo Lóng one step closer to reclaiming his throne.

As Xiao Ming and Da Ming arrived at the throne room, they were met with a sight that took their breath away. The Sceptre of Light, a shimmering rod of pure energy, sat atop a pedestal, surrounded by a halo of light.

But as they approached, they realized that something was off. The air around the pedestal seemed to be charged with magical energy, and the Sceptre itself seemed to be pulsing with an otherworldly power.

"Ah, the Sceptre of Light," Xiao Ming breathed, his eyes fixed on the artifact. "It's even more beautiful than I imagined."

"But it's also heavily guarded," Da Ming added, his eyes scanning the room. "We'll need to be careful if we're going to get past the spell that's protecting it."

Xiao Ming nodded, his mind racing with strategies. "I think I can handle the spell," he said. "But we'll need to work together if we're going to succeed."

Da Ming grinned, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Let's do it," he said.

And with that, the two demons launched themselves at the pedestal, their powers clashing with the magical energy that surrounded the Sceptre.

The air was filled with the sound of crackling energy, and the room seemed to shake with the force of their battle. But Xiao Ming and Da Ming were undeterred, their determination to claim the Sceptre driving them forward.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they managed to break through the spell and claim the Sceptre. It felt warm to the touch, its energy pulsing through their veins like liquid fire.

As they turned to leave, the alarms sounded, and the heavenly emperor, Tian Ji, burst into the room, his face twisted with anger.

"How did you manage to break the spell?" Tian Ji thundered, his voice echoing off the walls.

Xiao Ming and Da Ming just grinned, their eyes glinting with triumph. "You'll never know," Xiao Ming said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

And with that, the two demons turned and fled, leaving Tian Ji to ponder their next move.

"We need to stop them from getting the Crystal of Heaven," Tian Ji said, his voice urgent. "It's the only way to prevent the Demon King's return."

"I agree," said Tian Shang, one of the heavenly Lords. "But we need to be careful. Those demons are powerful, and they won't give up easily."

Tian Ji nodded, his face set in a determined mask. "I'll assemble a team of our strongest warriors. We'll stop those demons, no matter what it takes."

And with that, Tian Ji and his heavenly Lords set off to stop Xiao Ming and Da Ming from getting the Crystal of Heaven.

Meanwhile, Xiao Ming and Da Ming were already on their way to the location of the Crystal of Heaven. They had received a tip that it was hidden in a secluded valley deep in the heavenly realm.

As they arrived at the valley, they were met with a sight that took their breath away. The valley was surrounded by towering mountains, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers.

But as they approached the location of the Crystal of Heaven, they were confronted by Tian Ji and his team of warriors.

"You're not going to get away with this," Tian Ji said, his voice firm. "We'll stop you, no matter what it takes."

Xiao Ming and Da Ming just grinned, their eyes glinting with determination. "We'll see about that," Xiao Ming said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

And with that, the two demons launched themselves at Tian Ji and his warriors, their powers clashing in a spectacular display of energy and magic.

The battle was fierce and intense, with both sides trading blows and neither gaining the upper hand. But Xiao Ming and Da Ming were determined to emerge victorious, and they fought with every ounce of strength they possessed.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they managed to overpower Tian Ji and his warriors, and claim the Crystal of Heaven even though they were heavily wounded.

As they stood victorious, the Crystal of Heaven clutched tightly in their hands, Xiao Ming and Da Ming shared a triumphant glance.

"We did it," Xiao Ming said, his voice dripping with satisfaction.

"But we're not out of the woods yet," Da Ming added, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "We still have to get back to find the offspring of the Demon King and reunite him with his powers."

Xiao Ming nodded, his mind racing with the challenges ahead. "Let's get moving," he said. As they both teleported back to their hide out in the abyss.
