"Oh yes..." Ella's words were interrupted by the ripple of whispers that swept through the room. She turned to see Alexander stride in, his commanding presence immediately drawing attention.
Dressed in a tailored black tuxedo, he exuded power and authority. Despite his late arrival, his entrance was deliberate and calculated. He scanned the room briefly before his eyes landed on Ella.
"You're late," she teased as he approached.
"I am here, aren't I?" he replied, his deep voice smooth.
Ella smiled, genuinely pleased. "Thank you for coming."
"Of course," Alexander said, his gaze sweeping over her. "You look stunning."
Before she could respond, Emily spoke, "Ella, is this your guest?" Everyone looked at Ella, waiting to hear her response.
