"Common girl, where are we going"? Elena asked again as Penny just kept driving without saying a word. "China" She finally responded. "what! China!"? Elena exclaimed in surprise. "Yes Elena, China, where we can't be found, where my baby can live a normal life without me worrying that he'll get killed ". "Penny relax, I know you scared and confused and you want to run away from all these but going that far what you need, you need to sit down and have a rethink" Elena said. "There's no rethinking anything, I've made my decision. now are you with me or not" Penny asked with a serious face. "Have you thought about how Jonal would feel about this"? Elena asked. "Are you with me or not"? Penny asked ignoring the question. Elena looked at her for a while and knew there was no stopping her. "I'm with you" She muttered. "That's what i wanna hear" she said.
After a few minutes they arrived at the airport, Elena brought out their luggage and Penny just threw the key on the floor. "So we're going to leave the car here"? Elena asked. "Whoever wants it can have it, besides it has a tracker" Penny said taking her bag from Elena. "And the tickets "? Elena asked. "I already booked it online, let's go" Penny said already walking into the building and Elena followed her slowly.
on the other hand, Jonal had caught up with Devin and together they killed Seisera's men and took off to the other town where Seisera and the ones who murmured his mother were hiding. They got there and Devin just threw a bomb into the building and they waited till the flames reduced before entering the building and finishing the ones that were still alive. Seisera was on the ground, half his face was burnt but he was still alive. Jonal signaled for him and Devin to retreat and leave him to his doom but then he spoke. "You've done your worst Devin, what else are you going to do? kill me "? He thundered. "Shut up! you old fool! Devin let's go" Jonal said. "Coward, you're going to run away"? Devin made to move but Jonal held him back nodding his head negatively for him not to do it. "Ignore him" Jonal said. "Don't listen to him, you know you want to kill me! do it bastard" Seisera said. Devin ignored him and was walking away already when Seisera spoke again. "You know, your mother fucking tasted so good in my bed"... He said laughing " such fucking whore" he added. "Don't speak that way of my mother"! Devin thundered. "Oh, why not son? she was such a fucking whore that she was pregnant and didn't know who had the child, she didn't know if it was me or her other fuckers" Seisera said and with that Devin shot him twice in the head. "What the fuck man! I told you not to kill him, you just don't listen" Jonal said. "So i should watch him speak ill of mother"?. "You know the truth Devin, he wasn't lying! couldn't you handle the truth? ain't you all brave and heartless then why couldn't you handle it"? Jonal said and walked away.
###On getting home Jonal called out Penny's name but got no response,instead he saw a letter on the table. Jonal broke down as the letter slipped from his hands, Devin picked it up and his eyes bulged with surprise. 'She couldn't have left,could she'? he thought. He didn't know how to console his brother and walked slowly to his room instead. he sat on his bed and for the first time in years he felt sad, he couldn't comprehend what was happening to him, just then he felt as if water was on his face. He looked at the mirror and it wasn't water but tears, he used his palm to wipe it off but they kept falling down his cheek. "I can't be crying " he said surprised.....The last time he cried was in years.
(Flash back)
The scene shows Devin pacing up and down the aisle . "Calm down Devin, she'll be here soon. You're acting like a teenager inlove" Jonal teased. "Well, I feel like one,it's past ten already" Devin replied. "She'll be here soon brother, don't worry" Jonal assured. They waited for another hour and she didn't show up, Devin couldn't bear it anymore. he drove to her apartment immediately, when he got there the door was opened which was strange, he entered and saw a note on the table. he slowly swallowed hard and opened it reading the content slowly.

"Bro, I'm leaving" Jonal said standing by the door with his bags. "If you also want to leave i understand. I'm a beast and I don't deserve anyone's love, that's why she left, I can see that now" Devin said as tears flowed down his cheek. Jonal was stunned. "Dev.you're crying"? "I'm a beast Jonal, can't you see? that's why everyone keeps leaving, mom left, dad left and now you're leaving too". It took a while for Jonal to comprehend what was going on, Devin was really crying and he felt happy, not that he was happy that Devin was pained but that he finally poured out his heart after all these years.
"You're not a beast Devin you're just a human who has feelings and trust me it's not shameful for you to pour out your feelings, it's actually normal that shows you have a heart" Jonal said and sniffed.
Devin used his palm to wipe off the tears off his cheek. "I can't believe you're the younger one and here you are advising your elder brother". Devin said faking a smile. "You said you were leaving".He asked. "Yeah, I'm going to find Penny, she couldn't have gone far" Jonal said in a sad tone. "Lucky for you, I hid a tracking device on her suitcase" Devin said. "Really? when"? Jonal asked. "That was before we went for the autopsy result" Devin replied. "Seriously bro, you're the smartest" Jonal said. "You do know i have a way of knowing what people want to do before they do it" Devin said. "So you knew i was gonna leave"? Jonal asked. "You're very predictable Jonal, understand that" Devin responded. "Yes you are, just as i know that you're going to ask for her location and won't leave till i tell you" Devin said standing up and walked to his drawer. "Come off it bro, so Where's her location? Jonal asked. "She's on her way to china" Devin replied. "China? what the hell is she doing there"? Jonal asked. "Ask her when you see her" Devin said. "You're the best bro. you hungry? I want to order pizza and lasagne". "Yea, sure". "I'm glad you're back to your normal self" Jonal said before shutting the door.
Devin managed a smile which only lasted for a sec. his gaze met with his Mom's picture and he picked it up clutching it to his chest.

"Your bump is really out now, how's the baby doing"? Grandma nate asked. She was Penny's neighbour and had taken it upon herself to check on Penny. She liked children and since her grandson had refused to marry and give her grand kids, she grew fond of Penny when she found out that she was expecting a baby . "The baby is fine granny, she kicked this morning not long ago" Penny said smiling. "I'm glad to hear that, have you eaten this morning "? she asked. "Yes granny, I was about to get some pies down the street" Penny said. "What about your sister? is she not suppose to help you get it"? Grandma nate asked. "She's sick granny and the pies are for her, she hasn't eaten much" Penny replied. "Oh that's bad, but you're stressing yourself, okay give me the money, I'll send someone to get it" she said. "Don't worry granny, I'll get it myself". Penny said. "I insist my child, now hand it over" Grandma nate insisted and Penny gave her the money slowly. "Good my child. now go in,someone will bring it for you". "Thank you granny " Penny said and went back to her apartment while Grandma nate called a child that was playing on the street. "qǐng gěi wǒ yī gè xiān jiǎo de bǐng, hái zi" (Please get me some fresh pies,child) she said to the child. "hǎo de, nǎi nai, nài tè" The little girl replied and ran off down the street.
