KEANA
Rora, my wolf, is giving me a hard time; ever since this silver bane was removed from my wrist, she has done nothing but whine inside of me, and it is surprising because she has remained calm for years; that is the first time she has been troublesome.
"What's wrong?" I asked her
But I got no response from her; she kept whining and pacing in my head.
Dunya and I have been taken to a small servant's quarters, that was barely able to contain two people.
" Rest because tomorrow, your different work will be assigned to you," A calm-looking man said.
"Are you okay?" Dunya questioned, her expression unreadable as she drew the little duvet close to her chest.
"My wolf is not at rest for some reason"
A low chuckle escaped from her lip, and she sounded unbothered.
" Wow, Dunya, thanks for your concern," I uttered, sarcasm in my tone.
"Don't worry, you will soon understand" she said and faced her part of the bed.
What does she mean?
Oh, Moon Goddess, please keep Rora at peace; I want to sleep.

The next morning, the sharp clanging of a bell jolted Keana awake. My muscles protested as I sat up, the aches and pains from the previous day's events reminding me of the trials I had endured.
Dunya was already up, stretching and looking far too awake for the early hour."Rise and shine, Keana. We've got work to do," Dun said with a smirk and groaned, but she forced herself to her feet.
I noticed the silver bane was gone from her wrist, the absence of its weight and constant pain a strange, almost liberating sensation.
A calm-looking man entered the servant's quarters, his demeanor as composed as ever. "Keana, you are to report to the Alpha's quarters.
You will be assigned your duties there."Keana's heart skipped a beat. The Alpha's quarters? Why me? I exchanged a puzzled glance with Dunya, who only shrugged, her expression unreadable. Like she expected it.
"You have twenty minutes to get ready," he said and excused himself.
"Dunya, I am scared" I voiced my emotions to her.
"Don't be dear, don't be our redemption"
Redemption? What does that even mean,
I stood up, took a shower in the bathroom room, and brushed my teeth, the problem was that I didn't have any clothes to wear, but I didn't need to worry much as a knock was heard from outside.
A feeble-looking lady came in with a duffle bag and dropped it on the floor.
"Diego said I should these you two of these clothes"
"What's your name" Dunya asked her
"Jess" she answered calmly and left.
I quickly got dressed before the man whose name I just found out was Diego came for me.
After some moment, he came knocking, and Dunya sent me away with words of assurance.
How that girl was always calm in every situation is mind-bugging.
I followed the calm-looking man through the winding hallways of the fortress, up several flights of stairs.
With each step, the awaken Rora's agitation grew stronger. The higher they climbed, the louder Rora's pacing became in her mind.
"What is it, Rora?" Keana whispered inwardly, but the wolf did not explain, just a persistent sense of urgency.
The stairs seemed endless, and the unease I was feeling was intense.
As we ascended another flight of stairs, Keana's unease grew. My palms were sweaty, and I had to release my fists that I was pinching. Diego's calm demeanor did little to soothe my growing anxiety. Instead, it seemed to heighten my sense.
Finally, we reached a landing that opened into a grand corridor. It was a stark contrast to the servant's quarters, opulent and intimidating.
Just as Diego was about to lead me further, a sharp pain shot through my head. I stumbled, clutching my temple as Rora's agitation reached a fever pitch. The pain was blinding.
"Keana, are you alright?" Diego's voice was concerned, but I could barely focus on his words. The world around me blurred as I fought to stay on my feet.
"I... I don't know," I managed to say. Rora's howls echoed"Something's wrong with my wolf."
Diego frowned, his eyes narrowing as he assessed me. "We need to get you to the healer."
"No," I protested, forcing myself to straighten up. "I can manage. Just... give me a moment."
"Rora, what is happening?" I whispered desperately, but my wolf was beyond words.
Diego moved to support me, his arm a steadying presence at my elbow. "You need help, Keana. This isn't normal."
"I just need to…" I broke off with a cry as a particularly fierce jolt of pain struck me. The world tilted, and I felt myself falling, but Diego's grip tightened, keeping me upright.
"Stay with me, Keana," he urged, his voice calm but firm. "We're almost there."
But I wasn't sure if I could make it. My entire being was consumed by Rora's turmoil, the pain so intense I could hardly think. I stumbled again, my legs threatening to give out beneath me.
"Just a little further," Diego said, practically carrying me now. We moved down the corridor.
But before we could go any further, a loud howl came from inside a room on the floor where we were; it was only then I noticed that we were on the Alpha's floor.
My pain was forgotten as the echoes of large footsteps were heard from wherever; Diego and I exchanged a confused look.
And just like a lightning bolt, a large door flew open, and there stood the Almighty Alpha of Redmond Pack, his eyes glowing red, and his fangs shot out from his lips.
But when our eyes connected, the fangs disappeared, and his eyes returned to the normal blue color, and before I could say anything.
Rora started jumping and wagging her tail inside of me.
The word mate was the last thing I heard before I lost consciousness.
