P.S: no face slapping or cliche OP Ness. Authors note: thank you so much guys for joining the club, it's my first novel and English is my second language. So please bear with the errors and give me feedbacks to improve the novel, thanks a lot guys for the support. The first few chapters may have some minor grammatical errors and might be short (nothing big) like I said above ☝️. I've been trying to fix as many errors as possible but there might be a few ( I'm a human being). I post one chapter daily # support ********** This novel is a work of fiction. Chapter 1 - Prologue

The subtly dull shine of the evening sun, adds a little joy to the gloomy feel on my face, as I gaze out the school hall. As I pay little to no attention to the teacher speaking on the podium, the bell rings signifying the end of school. I quickly grab my stuff and head out of school, reaching the school gate I see a chubby guy, approx 169 cm in height and light skin waving at me while approaching me briskly. I sigh knowing it is none other than Adesanya George.

He shouts "Vicky my boy give daddy a hug" while stretching out his arms. I sidestep causing him to trip and his face to darken, he starts cussing in his dialect while approaching me then I say" bro don't say that shit in public Na".

"Sorry I was pulling your leg guy" says George. I ignore him and we walked home together, as he lives just a few streets away from mine. Then abruptly we hear screams behind us, turning around we see armed men speeding down the road towards us . The danger Sense in my head buzzed crazily, first thought was RUN and we did as fast as our legs could take us, manoeuvring our way through shortcuts we knew, but they knew them better and were gaining on us fast.
