Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Nova Battle Suit

Ella's New Chapter: The Nova Battle Suit

Ella was aboard a large high-speed fighter jet designed for long-distance travel. Its overall shape resembled a bowstring drawn taut, exuding a magical aesthetic with elegance and precision. It was also more than twice the size of a standard fighter jet. Functionally and dimensionally, it was essentially a miniaturized version of a small battleship.

To ensure that the crew could stay in good shape and rest adequately during long voyages, the cruiser was equipped with a captain's quarters, four crew cabins, a dining area, and even a fitness room. Each cabin also featured a small washroom with shower facilities for added comfort.

Naturally, Ella claimed the captain's quarters, which were far more comfortable than the crew cabins. After removing her sweat-soaked clothes, she stood under the shower, letting the warm water flow over her lithe and graceful figure. Exhausted in both body and mind, she closed her eyes, allowing the soothing stream to wash away her tension. Her tightly strung nerves began to loosen bit by bit.

Wiping the misted-up glass, she stared absentmindedly at the beautiful girl reflected in the bathroom mirror. Though she was aware that this was now her body, it still felt dreamlike and surreal.

Her damp golden hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing a delicate face barely larger than her palm. Her mesmerizing sapphire-blue eyes shone like precious gemstones, drawing anyone who saw them into their depths. Her long lashes perfectly complemented her expression, combining innocence, allure, and languid elegance with a touch of natural aristocratic coldness.

Although she held the noble status of a princess, she didn't exude the frailty or fragility often associated with such a title. On the contrary, she radiated the energy of a sporty, sunny girl. Her porcelain-white skin glowed with an ivory sheen, exuding a faint rosy fragrance.

Ella touched her forehead. The terrifying wound that had been there earlier had mysteriously vanished, leaving no trace behind, as though it had never existed.

Staring at the reflection for a while, she finally chuckled self-deprecatingly. "At least I turned into an eye-catching beauty. Could've been worse—imagine waking up as a dinosaur instead."

Ella made a mock fierce face at her reflection. "At just a teenager, you've already grown into a face that could bring down kingdoms. You're dangerous—do you know that?"

Fair-skinned, beautiful, and long-legged. The kind of dream girl any man could imagine. And now, somehow, that "dream girl" was her. The realization left her feeling a little exasperated.

The sky-blue uniform she had worn during her desperate escape was filthy, tattered, and beyond repair. Without hesitation, she tossed it into the garbage disposal unit and ejected it into the void of space. The only thing she kept was the eight-pointed star-shaped gemstone necklace hanging around her neck. It looked valuable, which was reason enough not to discard it.

Ella wiped the gemstone pendant with her hand, and suddenly, a beam of light emerged from it. A holographic image of a mother and daughter appeared above the jewel.

The two figures smiled warmly, their heads leaning against each other. The seven or eight-year-old girl in the image vaguely resembled Ella in her childhood, while the woman must have been her mother, Adora. A surge of warmth welled up in Ella's heart, filling her with certainty about her assumption.

The image lingered for a few moments before gradually fading away. Ella snapped back to reality, shaking her head. "Looks like this body's original memories triggered that reaction. What a shame." She sighed and let the pendant fall back onto her chest.

Wrapped in a large bath towel, Ella began rummaging around the ship. Despite searching every corner, she couldn't find a single piece of proper clothing—only a small suitcase with what seemed to be her name on it.

"Ella Nova."

Looking at the nameplate on the suitcase, Ella thought, This must be my name, right? After all, Anwen called me that earlier.

The suitcase had a small, finger-sized protrusion. Ella pressed it with her thumb, and sure enough, there was a soft click as the suitcase automatically opened.

"Wow! An alien handgun—looks cool, but it's useless right now. A few boxes of mysterious metal plates—not helpful either. Why on earth isn't there a single decent piece of clothing in here?"

The only items in the suitcase that remotely qualified as clothing were a white sports bra and a matching pair of white panties. Staring at the two pieces of "clothing" in her hands, Ella felt utterly defeated.

"Are you kidding me?! Princess, did you seriously not pack anything more normal for a long journey?"

Blushing with embarrassment, she reluctantly put on the undergarments. Fortunately, she was alone on the ship. Otherwise, she might have had a meltdown.

Once she put them on, however, she realized the undergarments were made of some kind of high-tech material that could adjust themselves to fit her body perfectly. They were so comfortable that it felt like wearing nothing at all—no tightness, no restriction, just a perfect fit.

"Alien tech is truly amazing! Well, this is better than being completely naked."

After venting a bit, she continued digging through the suitcase. Ella found a hidden compartment beneath the main section. After struggling for a while, she finally managed to open it. Inside was a sleek silver metal bracelet, about an inch wide, with an eight-pointed star insignia engraved on it.

"The Nova Corps' Supreme Eight-Pointed Star emblem?"

Ella held the delicate bracelet and inspected it closely. She happened to know from reading Nova Corps comics that not just anyone could wear the eight-pointed star emblem.

Still, she couldn't figure out why such a simple bracelet was kept so securely, requiring both iris scanning and DNA verification to access.

Comparing the size of the bracelet to her wrist, Ella casually slipped it onto her left arm. The moment she fastened the clasp, the bracelet emitted a soft click.

Looking down, Ella was startled to see the bracelet behaving like a living creature. It instantly fragmented into tiny silver hexagonal scales that began spreading from her wrist, crawling across her body.

"What the hell is this?!"

Ella jumped up in fright, frantically shaking her arm in an attempt to fling the strange material off.

It was no use. Within seconds, the unknown substance had covered her entire body below the neck, forming a sleek, futuristic armor. Over her head, it shaped itself into a high-tech visor with a sci-fi aesthetic.

"Whoa, this is so cool!" Ella exclaimed, looking down at the sudden appearance of the battle suit on her body. She raised her arm and noticed a virtual control panel projected on her left arm. Almost instinctively, she touched it with her finger.

Suddenly, her vision lit up as streams of data began displaying before her eyes. Information about her physical condition, heartbeat, and the external environment scrolled past like a waterfall. There were also countless symbols and data she couldn't comprehend. After all, putting Tony Stark's suit on a monkey wouldn't magically make it Iron Man.

"Zero, display my appearance so I can see it."

"At your command, Princess," a robotic voice replied.

A red beam scanned Ella's body, and a 3D holographic image of herself materialized in front of her.

Unlike the goofy designs of the Nova Corps battle suits from comics and movies, this one was sleek and stunning. Dominated by a blue base with silver and gold accents, the tight-fitting suit looked both powerful and stylish. The snug design highlighted Ella's graceful, athletic figure, creating a perfect blend of strength and allure.
