What is that thing?!
Shohon thought while widening his eyes, looking mortified.
He began to gasp in horror as he saw the horrifying creature approaching them.
A one mitre long horrid was approaching them, walking unsteadily. That horrid had 8 arms, all of them are half mitre long. Moreover, it didn't have a mouth where it should have been, instead there was a big red eyes covering his whole face, while a big set of Sharp and acute teeth was on his back, covering it entirely. The skin color is gray.
"It's 8 arms horrid!"
The man exclaimed in shock.
"Both of you, Use your power."
Suddenly, the both of them heard Elora's voice. Though, she was nowhere to be seen. Only her voice echoed in the air from a small yellow glowing circle up in the air.
Hearing her mention 'power' made Shohon open his eyes.
What power?
He wondered.
All of a sudden, a white color screen appeared before him. On this screen he saw words written in black. Seeing this addled him.
[Notification: It seems that you have been injected with a Horrid drug. As a result, you have gain the power of Horrid. Do you want to use it? Please, think quickly because those Horrids are approaching towards you.]

What's this? A bunch of words are being displayed?!
He wondered in uncertainty.
Knowing that certain doom is approaching towards him, he without thinking much just clicked 'Yes'.
Then another set of words appeared before him.
[Warning]
[Once proceeded can't be undone. Moreover, using this power might cause you side effects like emotional instability, mental disorder etc.]
[Knowing this, Do you still want to continue?]
[Yes] [No]
He again clicked 'Yes', hurriedly. Then a third screen appeared before him.
[Congratulations]
[You now have the authority to use the system. Now you are about to undergo a transformation.]
Then abruptly, a strange and distressing sound began to ring inside Shohon's head. The sound of the ringing becoming louder by the seconds. It's a sound which can only be heard by him.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah,
He began to scream with his mouth wide open, and grabbed his head with his both hands. To him the sound sounded so distressing that it seemed to him his whole body was about to explode.
Suddenly, his body color was turning pure white: first his right hand, then his nails were turning black and grew 1 centimeter long. Same happened with his other hand and nails. Then, his face turned white and his teeth became sharp and pointy, after that 2 big ,a little bit, amber color horns grew on his left and right temple, and few short white horns also grew on his heads. Lastly, a very big horn was forming right where his nose was. After growing, it was facing down.

Something was quite not right with Shohon's rune. Because every horrids have only one unique ability, while Shohon's horrid had two!
"Wow, he actually survived ! The transformation was successful !.. By the way, what was that horrid's name again?"
Elora's yellow haired companion exclaimed in amazement, and asked Elora the name of the Horrid's power that Shohon was given.
"It actually didn't have any name unlike other Horrids, at least this is what we believe. We named it Hardening Horrid based on its unique ability."
Hearing her say the name didn't ring any bell to her. So, she tried to think hardly, then remembered something:
"Oh yeah, you are right. I remember now. It was the horrid which was slain by that person and our boss."
True. But something did always strike to me as odd about Hardening Horrid's unique ability. It feels like there are more to it's power than we realize. This is why I practically begged my boss to let me inject Hardening Horrid's blood in someone to find out it's true power.
As Elora was thinking about that she got a bit excited to learn Hardening Horrid's true power.
"Vice president, why are you making them both go through 2 trials instead of one? I mean, all the other Horrid system users had to go through only one trial."
The red haired girl asked Elora.
Hearing her say that made Elora widen her eyes a bit. It was as if she was trying to hide something. But then she sighed, and said:
"There's a reason why I am making them go through 2 trials."
"Oh." Her red haired companion seemed a bit worried. Then she asked with a worrisome face, "But, will he be okay?"
Elora smiled a bit.
"Don't worry, they will be alright. Horrids of lower rank are not that strong. Moreover, they are not that smart either." Without any hint of worries Elora said that.
"I guess, you right."
Shohon, on the other hand, was devastated.
Even though, For some reason, his sense of fear was gone after being transformed into Horrid. But, there was still one thing making him more afraid than the Horrids Infront of him, and it's the fact that he has been turned into some kind of monster. He was confoundedly looking at his hands, touching his face with his right hand.
"What have I became?... Is this really me?"
Even, his voice had been changed. It had became heavier.
"By the way, I never got your name. My name is Akashi Allon. And you ?" the man asked as he was transforming into a horrid.
"It's Shohon Usher."
Akashi's whole body began to change its color. It was turning green. Then his black hair turned into white hair and his eyes turned black to red. After that, his skin around teeth dissapeared, making his acute deadly teeth, which changed its shaped, visible. Finally, both of his arms changed their shape and got turned into black color cannons.
"Let's do this."He said.
Then as he looked at that Horrid with a pair of calm eyes, he added:
"Don't worry about that transformation much. Let's focus on the monster before us, shall we?"
Shohon exhaled a long sighed, then replied in a heavy voice:
"Yeah."
Then the both of them stepped back a bit. The tension grew between them not knowing what could that horrid was capable of.
As soon as 8 arms horrid reached before one of the rocks, he grabbed it with one of his left hands, and threw it towards them.
Seeing this coming clear as day, they both dodged sideways. The thrown rock boulder just went straight through the middle, being unable to hit, then hit the ground.
But then something happened. Just within a blink of an eye, 8 arms horrid was right Infront of Shohon. He got there by using his super speed, which is one of his common ability.
Then he smashed Shohon's face with his right upper hand. Consequently, Shohon's long horn, which was on his nose position, broke, and fell on the sandy ground.
But it was not the end. After that, That horrid grabbed Shohon's right arm with his right upper hand, and threw him at Akashi. The throw was so fast that he didn't have any time to dodged, so he was violently hit by him. Both of them now was laying on the ground, with Shohon on the top of Akashi.
8 arms horrid again made a super dash towards them, and after reaching there, he pulled Shohon up, then kicked Akashi so hard that it sent him rolling by at least 1 mitres.
Then he thrusted Shohon on the sandy ground, and began to pummel him on the face violently and quickly with all of his hands one by one.
Being pummeled he was quite helpless, unable to react. Though, thanks to his hard skin he wasn't getting pain from those hits. But still, helplessly laid there while getting those hits.
Damn, if this keeps up. I will become weaker. It's true that I am not feeling any pain but still keeping this up and I will eventually lose my strength and turn back to normal. This would really be bad.
Suddenly, 8 arms horrid heard a bang, the sound of a cannon ball shooting, but before he could dodge he was hit by that cannon ball on the face, the ball exploded, which burned and blasted his head. Then, Akashi fired a second cannon ball from his left one and blew his upper part of the body away, leaving a pool of blood behind, which soaked Shohon completely as it sprayed down on him.
The lower part of 8 arms horrid's fell beside pummeled Shohon. Blood was spilling from there too, slowly the spilled blood on the ground was getting frozen due to cold temperature.
So, Shohon hurriedly slightly moved away from that spot, and sprawled on the black sandy ground, trying to catch a breather. Anyone could tell just by looking at him that he was in the verse of suffocation. He could feel agonizing pain inside his body as if his whole body was about to burst for undergoing such a transformation.
While, smoke is steaming from Akashi's both Cannon like Arm, for firing those shots. His power is quite handy, but at the same time has a downside. Once, he fires both Cannons, he has to wait at least 2 minutes for them to become shootable again. And 2 minutes is a long enough time for a horrid to regenerate itself from deadliest of wounds.
Moreover, this fight was far from over. Because, even after shooting his chest off, Akashi didn't get a notification of that horrid being dead. So, he felt the necessity of warning Shohon about that, who was sprawling not too far away from that horrid, so he warned him with a bit hesitant but deep tone:
"Hey Shohon, stand up...This.. isn't over yet."
But Shohon though, that warning didn't came to his ears. Because his condition got even worse, preventing him from hearing.
He began to crawl on the ground, and he was hearing that loud and unbearable ringing in his head again. He turned his body around, facing ground, tried to sit on his knees but fell forward. Suddenly, he began to vomit blood. After vomiting a lot of blood, he calm down a bit.
Akashi thought with a worrisome face:
This is not good. This is first time transforming for Shohon. This is why he is in agonizing pain. This is the worst time for something like this to happen.
Prior to this, Akashi transformed himself into the Cannon Horrid when he first got here 10 hours ago. This was why he wasn't feeling much pain like he did when he transformed first time. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for Shohon.
Shohon was panting, while laying forward on his knees. As he was staring at the vomited blood, for some reason he suddenly put on a hollowed smile.
After 1 minute had passed, the 8 arms horrid's upper body part was regenerating itself from the lower one.
Seeing this, Akashi panicked, thinking it would still take one minute for him to use his attacks. So, he rushed over to Shohon to move him from there.
But unfortunately, he was too late, he was still 120 centimeters aways from him when 8 arms horrid regenerated itself fully.
Shit.
He thought, while running towards him.
The 8 arms horrid, at once, stood up, and since Shohon was laying close by, he took a step towards him and grabbed Shohon's head with his big lower right hand.
Then the horrid grew all 20 of his left fingernails 20 centimeters long, and pierced Shohon's chest, for some reason, he succeeded in piercing him through his chest. Blood came gushing out of his chest, and Shohon lost consciousness, closing his eyes.
The horrid wanted to torn him to pieces but couldn't. Because, Except for his chest, all the other part of Shohon's body felt as hard as diamond. So, failing to torn him into pieces, he threw Shohon, and turned around, showing murderous intended to Akashi with his single big red eye.
The reason 8 arms horrid didn't eat his heart is because most of the Horrids do not prefer to eat the hearts of Human-horrid hybrid. To them, it tastes like crap.
So, he slowly approached Akashi with murderous intend.
While Shohon's transformation got turned off and laid unconscious, covered in that Horrid's blood from before and his own blood, beside the nearest rock.
