"You are done for the day. Here's your salary."
A middle-aged man, who looks kind and gentle, gave salary to a teenaged boy with orange mohawk mullet hair, and orange eyes. His left side of the hair is black while right side is orange.
"Thank you"
The boy received it with a smile while scratching the back of his head with his right hand.
"See you tomorrow, boss"
"Yeah"
After getting changed from the waiter's dress, the young boy wore his casual clothes: a little old looking white t-shirt, and a black color full-pant. Then he open the exit door and left the restaurant. After that, on the road, he began to count the money he received today after a day of hard work.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10: only 1000 thousands, huh? Guess, It can't be helped. At least I will get to put some food in my belly.
The name of the boy was Shohon Usher. 2 years ago, his parents died in an accident. So, now he was on his own, and have to earn his own expenses. Shortly after the death of his parents, he dropped out of high school, because it cost a lot of money.
As he was walking on the footpath, full of people, he was deeply lost in thought. After a while, he looked at the evening sky with a hollowed eyes, and stopped walking; he just stood there, looking depressed.
I liked to go to school. But unfortunately, going to school won't be possible anymore. I mean, I hardly earn enough money to support my belly let alone going to high school.
He sighed, looking at the sky:
I work as a waiter in a restaurant. The owner of the restaurant is very kind to me. I really like him a lot. I would probably be on the streets right now if it wasn't for him. But working as a waiter is one of most suffocating job for me. I mean, I am the type of person who doesn't like to interact with others. No, It's wrong to say that, I think. I meant to say, I want to build relationships with others but can't do that. Because, my socializing skill is worst...But at least, I am somehow managing to work at a restaurant. Man, I am jealous of the extroverted people. They can talk with anyone quite easily. Where I can't even talk properly with others, especially with girls. Not even a single word comes out of my mouth when I am Infront of a girl, or trying to talk to them. Man, surviving in the world of adults is undoubtedly hard. I am 10000% certain that studying is way more easier than doing work.
Suddenly, his stomach growled because of hunger.
He then stopped spacing out, and put his left hand on his belly:
Damn, I am very hungry. I need to head home soon.
Without any moment's delay, he started to head home.
As he was heading home, oddly, for some reason, for a second, he felt a eyes with 2 rings around the eyeballs glared at him.
So, he stopped, and looked around. He then noticed a very Gorgeous and mysterious looking woman standing on the opposite footpath of the broad road. She looked out of place. It was as if she doesn't even belong in this dimension. Everyone who was passing by the street stared at her with fascination. She has blue hair, blue eyes, and wearing a blue color dress.
The young teenaged boy also noticed that she was staring at him, then she suddenly gave him a pleasant smile. Seeing this he stopped looking at her, lowering his head immediately, then he looked forward without blinking his eyes, looking nervous:
Oh man, Did she just smile!? I mean, she literally did. She just smiled at me. But why?...
As he was thinking that, after a while he reached his home.
He lives in a house made of wood. The size of the house is small.
Standing before the front door, he put a key in the lock, and opened the door. After opening the door, he entered the house. He then at once, entered his kitchen room, then remembered something very very important. Upon remembering, he face grew pale, and jaw dropped.
I forgot to buy some vegetables and rice. How the hell am I gonna cook something to eat without them? I was so distracted by that woman's smile that I forgot to buy them.
The fact that he forgot to buy vegetables and rice made him very disappointed, and knowing that he have to pass the night without eating anything, he headed to his living room.
Guess, I will have to sleep without eating. I am very tired. I don't feel like going to convenient store now.
After going to his living room, he grovelled on the floor, and looked at the clock by the wall with his tired eyes.
It's 7.00 pm. I have a lot of time to sleep tonight.
Closing his eyes, he was thinking:
I don't wanna go to work anymore. But, I say that every night.. There's no way to stop working if I want to support my self and survive. I just want to earn a lot so that I can eat whatever I want and live however I want.
While thinking that he fell into a state of sleep without realizing it.
The next day at Footime Restaurant:
The restaurant is full of people. They are eating, and chitchatting.
"Excuse me, I would like a cup of black coffee", a women ordered.
The owner looked around, then spotted Shohon, who was coming out from the kitchen room.
"Hey Shohon, bring a cup of black coffee to that table", the owner requested.
"Okay", he said without looking at the pointed table.
He took the cup of black coffee prepared by the owner, and brought it to the table where the women was sitting, and spacing out. Seeing that she was a girl made him very nervous. But it's nothing new. He is like that. His voice comes to a standstill when he has to talk to woman costumers or any other women. He is playing 'Here's your order, mam' in his head, but failing to say that out loud. So, he just put the coffee on that table, with a little bit of noise so that she would stop spacing out, and receive it.
Hearing a thud, she immediately looked at him, and saw her coffee was on the table.
"Thank you", she said.
Looking at her face, he recognized her instantly. She was the women from yesterday.
It's her!
Taking a sip of the coffee, she found it bitter, and made a bitter face, then she added:
"You can't just leave a customer's food on his table without saying anything like ' here's your order ' "
Shonon was getting out of there slowly. But, hearing her say that he stopped and turned his face her way.
"Aa-ah-Ah-"
He is trying to say something but that won't just come out of his mouth.
Damnit. Why can't I say anything? This always happens to me. This is why I avoid talking to girls. I am way too nervous around girls.
"Are you trying to say something?"
He tried to say ' nothing ' by shaking his head.
"O-oh", she muttered.
He left the place after that, feeling embarrassed for being such a loser.
"He is interesting"
She muttered to herself with a dubious smile.
After work, Shohon was in the changing room, getting changed.
"Here take it, Shohon"
The kind and gentle looking owner put a pack of burger on the table, and sat on one of the chairs.
"Really!"
Shohon exclaimed with happiness. He really missed eating berger. Moreover, it happen to be his favorite food. So, be offered a berger for free by the kind owner made him happy. Though, he is trying his best not to show it, only a glimpse of gratitude was covering his face.
"Yes, you can have it."
"Thanks, boss"
Receiving such a reward from his boss, Shohon was eyes beaming like a child as he looked received the Box.
"Don't mention it."
Before leaving he took the box of the burger, and bade his boss bye for the day.
When he stepped outside, he saw that, the woman from before was sitting on a bench under a tree, which was on opposite side of the restaurant. Seeing him, she waved her left hand.
Is she calling for me?
Shohon is puzzled, so he looked around to confirm if she was really calling him or someone else. After confirming that not many people were around he was now certain that she called for her.
Since not many people are around, then it means she is really calling for me. But, I wonder why.
He went near her thinking that.
He,at first, stood there, then tried to talk:
"E-ex-Excuse m-me, d-did you call for m-me"
With a lot of pauses, he managed to say that.
"Oh, So you can actually talk. I thought you were mute"
She smiled as she said that, though hearing her say that about him, delivered a little bit of emotional damage to him. Even though, the way she said that didn't sound like insulting, rather it was like a friend ridiculing his buddy in a funny way.
"I-I'm not mute. It just that I have no experience talking with girls"
He scratched the back of his head with his right hand and put on a pretend grin as he said that.
Wait. I finally talked to a girl so clearly without any pauses just now!
He was thinking that with amazement. He was quite literally surprised with himself for pulling off such feet.
"Don't take it the wrong way. I was just kidding...By the way, My name is Molina. Pleased to meet you."
Molina,huh? Okay, it's my turn to introduce myself properly. So don't get nervous me, just don't think anything, and introduce.
"A-ah, My name is Shohon. pleas.ed to meet you, too."
"Shohon, is it?..hmm, How about you and I go on a date?
The moment those words left her mouth, Shohon abruptly got a headache, so he gritted his teeth, and then a weird voice echoed in his mind: Say, yes.
"Say, whaaat?!"
He was greatly surprised hearing this, and at the same time is a bit riddled by a sudden date invitation by someone he barely knows.
"But, why would you want to date me. I mean, I am practically a stranger to you", he asked confusedly.
"I am interested in you? You are a bit peculiar type of guy. This is why I want to learn more about you", she grinned as she said that. " Don't you want to date me? If you have any problem then say it."
She forced face into his person space. She even went so far as to touch is face with her left hand.
On the other hand, seeing her this close to his face and getting touched by her was making Shohon greatly nervous. He started to sweat like crazy because of nervousness.
Is she for real ! There's actually a girl who wants to date me. This is the first time a girl asking me out on a date. What should I do? Should I refuse or accept the date. But she is a stranger. This is a bit fishy, isn't it? A stranger asking a boy out she barely knows on a date.
"Have you made up your mind, Shohon?"
She looked at him curiously.
"YES, I HAVE. I WANT TO GO ON A DATE WITH YOU", He shouted.
Seeing him shout startled her a bit.
Oh crap. I didn't mean to shout.
He was abashed for saying that so loudly. He didn't mean to say that out loud, but the nervous got the best of him.
After a few seconds, he frowned, and asked himself:
Wait. Why did I just agreed to go on a date? Something feels odd.
"I am glad you want to go on a date with me", she put on a tender smile.
"Oh."
Like before he again had a headache, he this time he grabbed his head with his right hand.
Maybe, going on a date won't be such a bad thing. I mean, it's just a date, and it can't be all that bad. It's true that she is a stranger, but that doesn't mean she can do any harm. She seems like a nice person.
"When should we go?" Being intrigued, she asked.
"If it's okay with you then how about tomorrow? I have my day off tomorrow."
"Okay, tomorrow it is then.. Let's meet at this place at 9'o clock, okay?"
"Sure."
"Then see you tomorrow."
After saying that she went away.
He was in a frozen state. The dude wasn't even blinking his eyes. Only thing that was running inside his mind was only these thoughts:
Finally, I get to date a girl. Not to mention, she looks matured and a bit older than me. Tomorrow is going to be great! I can't wait for tomorrow. But, can I survive tomorrow. After all, I don't know how to handle a girl. Moreover, I have a 'pause of voice' issue with girls. Maybe, I will finally be able to overcome this problem of mine if I can make girlfriend. I mean, I was totally able to hold a decent conversation with her. Tomorrow is the day I become a change man.
The next day:
A clear sky and a sunny day:
"It's such a nice day to go on a date,"
Shohon inhaled and exhaled air.
Haaaah.
"I am feeling pretty refreshed today. How long has it been since I felt this good."
He was thinking about all sorts of stuff like holding hand with Molina, eating together, kissing etc.
He was smiling like an idiot while thinking those things.
"I better hurry. It shouldn't take long from here if run to get there."
Saying that he began to run. On the way, he ran into some familiar faces, so he wished them good day one by one. After running for while, he got there.
"It's the place."
Then he saw her waiting near that tree. She was wearing the same dress as yesterday, her blue long hair is dancing elegantly due to the gentle flow of wind.
Oh, so she is already here.
she heard the hardly audible footsteps of someone, and that someone was Shohon, though she had no way of knowing who that person was unless she looked her left, so she did that and saw Shohon, and beamed.
"You finally come"
"Sorry for making you wait for me. I intended to be the one to wait. That's why I left my home 30 minutes early."
He said that with his head a little bit lowered, he also looked nervous.
"Don't worry. I just got here myself. So, let's proceed with the date."
"Where should-- we go first?" he asked hesitantly.
"I have prepared a date plan. So, you don't have to worry about anything."
Oh wow, she is very considerate. All I thought last night was only about today's date. On the contrary, she has planned the things we are going to do today.
He thought.
"Without further ado, let's begin." She added.
After that, the first place they visited was aquarium: there they both watch Goldfish, koi fish, blue discus, little penguins etc. Both of them was absorbed in watching those. After a while, Shohon casted her a side glance. Though, her eyes was still glued to those fishes. Next, they went to a amusement park, and rode on rollercoaster; after that they went to haunted house. Seeing all scary stuffs only Shohon sometimes shouted while Molina stayed calm, and enjoyed the fact that he was scared of haunted house. Then, they rode in ferris wheel: At first Shohon was embarrassed and refused to sit next to Molina, but thanks to her stubbornness he had no choice but to sit next to her. Although, because of shyness he was looking the other way the whole time. Next, they eat cotton candy and left the park. Lastly,they went to a restaurant and ordered a hamburger and a black coffee. The one who ordered the coffee was Shohon.
I don't enough money to order all those expensive foods. Why did she pick such a expensive restaurant.
He was sulking as he was thinking that.
"Are you only going to drink coffee?" she asked surprisedly.
"Oo-oh, Yeah. I will only be drinking coffee",
When he said that he became flustered.
"Is something bothering you? If you are having no fun, then you can say so."
Seeing her considerateness, he was a bit happy.
"No, everything is fine."
He looks both nervous and happy at the same time.
Man, today I had a lot of fun. Going on a date is fun. I want to do that again.
"Hah, it's already 2.00 pm!"
She exclaimed with disappointment as glanced at her wristwatch.
"We should wrap this up, don't you think so too?" She asked.
His smug looking face suddenly became a long one, and he lowered his head and sighed.
"Yeah you are right."
"Why the disappointed face?"
"No, it's nothing."
"I know you are disappointed. But unfortunately, I have to hurry and go home right now."
She stood up.
"Huh? Aren't you going to finish your hamburger? Looking at her half eaten burger he asked that.
" No. So, let's leave, shall we?"
"Okay?"
He then finished his coffee quickly and went after her.
Here after, they both are walking across the street. Not many people are around. Only few vehicles could be seen here and there.
"There's still one thing I want to do with you."
She said mysteriously.
"But didn't you say you were in a hurry?"
Being puzzled, he asked confusedly from behind her. He is walking with his hands in his pant's pocket.
what does she wants to do? Kiss maybe? Or maybe something else entirely.
He again got lost with his lewd thought after hearing that.
"True. But this is important. So come with me. I will take you to a perfect place so that I can do that."
Saying that she grinned.
1 minute later:
"We are here."
She brought him to a alley. By this Shohon was puzzled thinking the reason behind her bringing him in a alley of all places.
Looking around the dark and creepy alley he asked:
"A-ah, is this the right place?"
"Yes, it is."
She then approached, and hugged him. He was greatly shocked by her sudden hug. His whole faced turned red.
"Listen, I had a great day thanks to you. So, consider this a reward from me to you."
Getting a warm and unexpected hug, Shohon was bashing so much that he could not speak.
But then, suddenly Shohon began to lose his strength and his legs were giving out too. Also, his eyelids became heavier so he was difficulty keeping them open.
Then Molina suddenly pushed him back and he fell on his back on the the ground.
He was very puzzled not knowing what was actually going on. Moreover, his eyelids slowly began to close. Right at that moment as he was beginning to lose his vision he saw Molina giving a devilish smirk, then he lost consciousness.
She was sneering at passed out Shohon.
Moreover, she was holding a small needle in her left hand. This is probably the needle she poisoned him with.
After 10 minutes:
"Why did it take you so long, Elora?"
"Stuff happened"
"By the way did you inject him with that monstrous power?"
"Yes"
"Oh look, the lad is waking up!"
Shohon slowly opened his eyes. At first, it was hard for him to see anything due to all that brightness. But slowly his vision was adjusted. Still being in a state of riddled, he turned his head left and right. Shortly after he realized he was tied to a chair.
huh? Why am I tied to a chair?!
"Glad to see you awake"
Molina said that while Standing outside the room made of glasses.
Shohon has actually been confined in a glass room.
"Molina, what's going on?"
"Welcome to our world. A world of magic."
