Chapter 2: Unexpected
The non-war zone was suddenly attacked, and guild members
rushed in to defend the villagers. Tatsu's parents were part of the guild, and
while Tatsu slept, they hid him underground in their bakery. There was a room
filled with weapons and medical equipment, and in the corner stood a large
glass tube filled with an unknown liquid. They left Tatsu in that room as they
prepared to respond to the attack.
Chaos erupted around them as the attackers targeted the
remaining villages, starting a fierce battle. Caught off guard, the guild
members struggled to manage the situation, which quickly worsened. The
military, led by their commander, entered the fray.
Now, the guild commander and members joined the fight, and
the battle grew more intense.
As the battle raged on, Tatsu woke up and called out,
"Mom? Dad?" But there was no response. He got up and looked around
the room, which looked like a mix of a weapon storage and a medical area. His
gaze landed on a large glass tube. Curiously, he approached it and stared.
Suddenly, the computer attached to the tube began beeping and showed a heart
rate that quickly sped up. Then something moved inside the tube, and Tatsu
panicked and unplugged the computer.
With a loud crash, the tube shattered, spilling liquid and
revealing a naked man who emerged, conscious and stretching. The man looked at
Tatsu and asked, "Are you a human or an elf?" Tatsu's longer ears
confused him. Tatsu ignored the question and asked, "Who are you, and what
were you doing in the tube?"
"I don't know. Where are we?" the man replied.
"I don't know," Tatsu admitted. The man continued, "What are you
doing here, little boy?" Tatsu explained he was searching for his parents.
While the man listened, he noticed a letter under the computer's keyboard.
After reading it, he asked Tatsu for clothes.
"I know nothing about this place," the man said.
"Look around and tell me if you find anything." Tatsu started
searching and inquired about the man's name. "My name is Samy, but that's
all I remember. I don't know how I got here."
"Well, we'll figure it out," Tatsu said. He found
a metal storage box and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. He called out
to Samy, "Hey, I found something cool!"
"What? Did you find clothes?" Samy asked. Tatsu
showed him the box, which opened with a simple touch. "How did you open
it? I couldn't get it to budge!" Inside were two twin katanas and three
sets of clothes. Samy smiled at the sight and took everything.
Now they needed to find a way out. They discovered a
staircase and realized they were underground. As they climbed, they found a
door but couldn't open it. Samy told Tatsu to stand back and punched the door
hard, making it explode off its hinges.
Stepping outside, they were greeted by cold silence and a
chilling breeze. The bakery was ruins.
Samy thought to himself, "So the battle happened here. Looks like it's over
now," his face showing disappointment.
The battle was lost, and the guild suffered greatly. They
lost several territories and many strong members, including Tatsu's parents,
who died in the fight. Tatsu asked Samy to help him search for his parents, but
Samy could only gather information about the war between the guild and the
governor. After a few hours of searching, Samy urged Tatsu to give up and head
to the rescue shelter with the guild. Tatsu was upset and shouted that his
parents were still alive, telling Samy to leave him alone.
They split up, and after a while, Tatsu found himself
sitting in his destroyed bakery, crying. Suddenly, Samy returned and sat next
to him, asking if he wanted to come along. With tears in his eyes, Tatsu nodded
yes. He grabbed some clothes and his dad's cloak before they set off toward the
exit of the country, ready for an adventure.
