Chapter 4: Arrival at Port
The next morning, everyone was ready to leave. There were a total of 50 villagers along with 1 captain, 9 guild members and guards. They traveled in five carts powered by mana engines, similar to old horse-drawn carts, with each cart carrying 12 people. Captain was in first cart and Samy and tatsu was on fifth cart.
As they approached the country's exit, they encountered a guarded gate. After passing through, they traveled for 30 minutes before reaching a dense forest filled with various beasts and insects. The captain warned everyone to stay alert.
Just five minutes into the forest, a giant rabbit-like beast, (same height of a normal bear and stand on a two legs, sharp nails and teeths), attacked the third cart. Thankfully, the guild members on that cart defended against it. Suddenly, a group of four more rabbit beasts appeared and attacked. One of the fighters and he got injured, when the captain moved to engage, the beasts look around and with fear suddenly run away, leaving everyone confused. Once the situation calmed down, the healer attended to the injured member, and they prepared to leave again.
Tatsu asked Samy what he had done to scare the beasts. Samy replied, "I !..... I didn't do anything." Tatsu pressed, "Then why did they run?" Samy thought for a moment and said, "Maybe they were scared of the captain approaching them to attack." Tatsu was surprised, "Really?
After traveling for 12 hours non stop, they finally arrived at a port. (A small village call village of Raisen port) This was the only way to reach another country by crossing the sea. The captain led them to the guild and report their arrival, and take everyone to the guest house of guild and told everyone to rest, as they would depart the next afternoon.
As they entered a large guest room with about 150 to 200 beds arranged in rows. Samy and Tatsu placed their luggage beside their beds and decided to go to the restroom first. While going to restroom, Samy spotted the captain in the main hall and told Tatsu to go ahead without him. When Samy approached the captain, he greeted him. The captain looked pale, and Samy asked, "Are you okay? Is there a problem?"
The captain replied, "I'm fine. I'm just looking at the map. There's a little problem look, We had to travel to a different port. After the beast attack, we changed our direction and ended up at southern Raisen Port instead of the usual southeastern Nile Port."
Samy looked at the captain and asked, "How could you make such a mistake and not realize it sooner?" The captain replied, "I'm really sorry. It was my mistake. It's my first time traveling to another country."
Samy was shocked and asked, "What's your guild status?" The captain answered, "I'm rank B, 1st class." Samy exclaimed, ahhh what "Why would they send a rank B for this mission? Doesn't the guild master know the rules? At least an A rank, 3rd class is needed for a mission like this. Is the master out of his mind?"
The captain apologized, saying, "We're short-handed, so they sent me." Samy asked, "What now?" The captain explained, "We can travel by ship to our destination, but the problem is that ships don't come in regularly at this port. They only come once a week. Tomorrow Was supposed to be that day , but all the ships have been rescheduled to arrive in two days."
Samy was taken aback and said, "What? Are you serious? Then why did you tell everyone we are going tomorrow afternoon?" The captain replied, "I didn't know either. I just found out from the counter before you approached me. I was going to explain the situation after dinner, so please don't ask anymore questions. Just go freshen up."
