"Sooo? Do it to me! Come on!" The blonde girl smiled at me flirtatiously, and I smirked back.
"Then come on." I said as I gave Danny sitting beside me my cigarette to hold, the other guys on the table cheered, making 'Uhh' and 'Ahhh'-sounds.
I leaned forward and reached out to her, as she lay her hands into mine.
Closing my eyes, I felt her smooth hands, her long fingernails tickling me as I zoned out and stood inside the endless darkness, in front of a table with a golden coin on it.
I still held her hands, while simultaneously imaging me flipping the golden coin with my thump, seeing it fly, turn and float, it landed in my hand. Slapping it on the back of my other hands, I saw the familiar side of the woman, whose eyes, her ears, and heart were covered by multiple hands. The hands that concealed her eyes moved away, uncovering them.
A girl stands before her mirror, a few dresses on her bed, a few on the floor. Turning around and posing with a white dress that she holds against her body, she shakes her head and flings it away, seeing something lilac peeking out of her closet, her eyes light up.
"You wanted to come in a white dress before you decided on the lilac you are wearing now."
"OMG, it's really true!!!" She squeals, gasping my hands with her smaller ones.
"Tell me more! But nothing too private, while all the others are here…" There was laughter around us, and someone yelled for more shots.
I let go of one of her hands to take a drag from my cigarette before giving it back to Danny, closing my eyes.
Flipping the coin, I anticipated more superficial nonsense, but the picture of the woman had turned black, a sight I dreaded and hated the most.
I was ready to end this little play, when the hands uncovered the woman's ears and I heard a lock spring open, so loud it was deafening.
Trying to come back with all my might, I couldn't move my body and was forced to hear.
'I can't believe he did it, I can't believe it. I was at the party back then! I talked to him! Who would have thought that Kenny was such a monster….'
After hearing a conversation snippet that would take place in the future, I was luckily being able to move, I took my cigarette back and to went for my drink.
"So? Do you have something else?" She winked at me, either not believing that I could look into her past and even her future for real, or thinking that it only concerned things on the surface.
"Hmm… you have forgotten to take your contraceptive pill today." I mentioned a detail I perceived when seeing her choosing a dress.
Her face went blank. The surrounding guys laughed, and asked her if she wanted to get herself a pregnant by a rich guy tonight.
The blond girl, Chelsea, flipped him off and blew a kiss to me, hurriedly standing up and leaving.
"That was too personal, bro." Danny leaned to me, and I touched his forehead to shove him away from me, at the same time flipping the coin, to test if it would happen again. And it did.
The moment I saw the coin turn black, again tried to extract myself, but it was impossible. I was forced to see her ears uncover once more, and I was forced to hear what Danny would say in the future:
'Why hasn't he been arrested? Why is a murderer still running around? We have to take it into our own hands!'
After getting rid of him, I downed my drink.
"She wanted to hear something personal."
Danny laughed,
"Yes, but that's too personal" He shook his head in pity,
"I can't imagine how she feels."
I look at him, asking myself if he forgot the times he forced me to read his past because he didn't believe that I was able to do it, only for him to cry when I told him when and to what he jerked off.
Danny winked at me, and I turned away in disgust.
Jordan came up and brought a new round of shots, getting applause from the round on my table, and just to see if this would continue, although I felt nausea gripping me slowly, I grasped his hand when I took some alcohol from him.
Flipping the coin, it turned black once more, her ears were mercilessly uncovered yet again, and I heard Jordan speak.
'Kenny is a murderer! He killed the girl and I bet he raped her too, let's get him and teach him a lesson!'
"Don't drink so much, I don't want to carry you home…" Jordan grinned at me while setting down the tablet and emptying a good amount of alcohol himself.
"Mhmm." I leaned back again after drinking the shot. So there will be a murder take place and a possible rape?
We are still in our senior year in high school and this school year would start tomorrow while nearly all of us are minors. Why would this happen?
Tilting my head and zoning out, I contemplated if this was the truth, but yeah, I already knew.
I only looked once in the future, not knowing it any better at that time. Every time after that, as soon as the coin turned black, I stopped, not daring to take a look again.
