"Mama, Mia at kindergarten said the amusement park is so much fun! She went on a hot air balloon that flies like a bird the other day! Uncle promised to take me last night, so we're going today right?"
Brian's eyes were wide with excitement, his little hands gripping my shirt. I shot a glare at Kael, who leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed and a smug smirk playing on his lips.
This was his plan all along. He knew I couldn't say no to Brian.
And that aside, when did the two get so close to an extent like this? I just couldn't understand what he was playing at, but it's really grating on my nerves.
Brian tugged on my shirt again, his voice softening as he gave me those puppy eyes, "We're going… right?"
I opened my mouth to explain, but Kael had already stepped in before I could.
