Eric was enjoying dinner with the rest of the family when suddenly, David spoke up.
"When do you both plan to get married?" His gaze shifted to Eric, bringing him to a sudden halt.
He looked at Agnes as she reached out to gently touch his hand, smiling warmly. "Soon, Dad," she said, and Eric nodded, managing a smile.
"I believe it's time to officially announce the new CEO, especially since I will be stepping down to take on the role of chairperson," David stated, leaving both Agnes and Eric by surprise.
"CEO?" Eric inquired, and David responded with a nod of affirmation.
"Yes, and I trust you won't let me down," he added.
Eric exchanged a thoughtful glance with David, who promptly asked a question. "What happened? Are you not happy?"
